I'm addicted to fast food like I eat out everyday and honestly I'm putting on a lot of weight which is making me depressed I don't know what to do or what causes it might be the lonely feeling I get and it's an outlet for my boredom or depression I just can't eat healthy! Anyone struggled with this what did you do to overcome it???

I'm addicted to pizza. I'll sometimes order two in a week even though I know there are about 300 calories in a slice & the fat gives me wicked acid reflux at night (I don't have a gallbladder). So, yes; I guess I have somewhat of a food addiction where that's concerned.
I know when I stopped smoking, one thing I focused on was the money I saved. Aside from the weight you're gaining, focus on all the money you're spending by eating out. When I quit smoking I figure I saved about $150 a month. I saved that money & used it as a down payment on a new car. Perhaps you could take a similar approach to eating out. Add to that, the effect eating out has on your health...the fat in fast food (& pizza) is one road to a heart attack. The beginning of beating any addiction is realizing there's a problem. The best of luck, Hon....I'm not gana bore you with my story. Suffice to say, I get it...I'm paying the price for not looking after my health in earlier years. I get this, way more than I care to n if you feel it's a problem then don't suffer alone. Get help, support, advice, join a club. Any and all support can only be of help....I know we are here, but I hope you can get help "out there" too! Having a good doc n good people in your corner really helps x

My bf and I were going out almost every single day when we should of been smart and went grocery shopping. I also have an ED and struggle with cravings and binging. What helped me slow down was a low carb diet. After a few days, once all the sugar gets out of your system, your cravings are totally gone. Plus you get to eat all the meat and natural fats you want. A good fatty steak whenever you wanted! It got rid of cravings and I also had to go grocery shopping as most fast food places aren’t low carb. We’ve saved tons of money and sanity so far!

The money saving aspect hits home here. It was always so easy to hit fast food rather than cook when I worked. Only thing that kept weight off was playing racquetball with the other engineer guys at lunch rather than eating then....quit the fast foods & saved money.....spent on my new home.
