I really don't know how to stop this. My purging has gotten so bad my heart feels like it is at a standstill sometimes. my heartburn is also really bad. Any advice anyone has would be really apprieciated.

Hi there, you might get more of a response to this if you post in the eating disorders forum. Good luck finding the help you need here.

hey chitsy, have you had any treatment?

It helps me to go to an ed unit once a week to work through things in a positive way and to get information about medical complications etc.

if you get heartburn, id suggest antiacid tablets.
and for your heart... well theres the dangerous part. you can get heart attacks and develop fits from repeated purging and a host of other things, id go to your doctor as soon as you can about your heart to have a scan and check up.

hope youre ok x

Thank you for responding to me. I am ok. My Doctor had told me to join a web site for help. I found Psych Central i like it so far it is nice to talk to people that are going through the same thing that you are going through. instead of different doc after doc.
I should seriously by stock in Tums. I take them like candy. i was taking so much Pepto my tongue turned black. that sucked.

I am OK. thank you for responding.

Have a good night!!!!!

Yeah websites are really handy for sharing experiences and solutions etc.

Theres a website cbt thing called "overcoming bulimia" if youre interested. the problem is you have to pay for it, hence why I havent done it but my doc has referred me to a place where i can do it for free- its really worth checking out what treatment is available near you and badgering your doc to get you some help.. from my point of view anyway, i just want to try everything i can to get this sorted out because its so emotionally draining and i know if i carry on, my body isnt going to put up with it for long. it is just so hard though eh..

I know, it is emotionally draining and I do not have the $ right now to pay people for help, I am still paying for the help that did not help. It sucks so bad. I ahve actually been better the last few days. Just chatting with everyone. it has been helping me. My doc told me to find a website online because there is a bunch of free ones. Luckily I found this one.

I am ok. I was only sick once today. I wish it was none. I am so sick of beeing sick. I am so tired of being tired, my muscles aching, mythrouat hurting, acid reflux, ulcers, headaches, etc. I just want to stop. i just need to focus. I need this to be over. i cant live like this. My body is going to take a turn for the worst, and I dont want that to happen to me again. 10 years of binging and purging has done me no good. I really need to stop.

Thank you for asking how i am. How are you.
