I hate scales!
Here's why:

1. I had a plan of losing weight this summer
2. So far?
Not happening, but eh, that's my fault for not giving it my all. At least I'm sort of maintaining my weight instead of gaining it...right? I mean, that's what I can tell by the mirror at least.

Well, my mom doesn't have a scale, so I decided "Hey now, why not weigh myself today?" on my Dad's. Okay...not the brightest idea that I've had...I mean, I was non and I was retaining water weight from certain hormone cycles which-shall-not-be-named aaaand I've been trying really hard to put a stop to my compulsive eating (again) with mixed results.

Guess what?
According to the stupid thing I was back at my starting weight.
And no, not the one I started on this year
But the one I started on LAST year, which is a few punds heavier
Big deal in my book.

Self esteem: Dropped about 50 points.
Depressive thoughts: up about 50 points
Likelyhood of over eating because of this: x100 ...again.

Grrr. Scales.

I hate, hate, hate scales, refuse to step on one. I use to be a bodybuilder, I still have a lot of muscle. Scales don't tell you how much weight you have in muscle and how much weight you have in fat they just say you're fat. Every time I'd get weighed at the doctors they would look at me in disbelief. They need to come up with a better form of measurement. Not every 5' 3" womans ideal weight is 110, how about bone density and muscle mass (I think my skeleton weighs more then 110). I know they have those scales with the body fat index but I don't know if I'd trust that either. I just stay away from them all together and go off of my measurements.

We just got the Wii fit and it weighs you (there is no getting around it), very imbarrassing, it has me as being obese and I know that I'm not (overweight, yes, obese, I don't think so). It should go off your measurements, I'm a size 12-14, I don't think that's obese. I did put a password lock on it though lol.

Try not to stress so much about the scale, try taking your measurements instead.

Well, I got on the scale again, and it said that I weighed one pound more, but then, when you factor in that it was at night and I was fuly clothed, it means that I've definately dropped off a few pounds. I've decided to shun the scale now anyways and just do my best to focus and lose s bit more weight until school starts, and keep it going.
