walking/jogging/running helps. I think squats are pretty good for weight loss too and they're not too hard as long as your balance is ok

If you are currently overweight then exercises that are aerobic but low impact are best. (When you are overweight, high impact exercises can be hard on your knees.) So, low impact exercises like cycling and swimming are recommended until the weight comes off.

Any exercise at all will help. Riding a horse, walking a dog, jumping a rope,...

Where you start depends on your current level of activity. If you are very sedentary walking is a good place to begin. As you improve you can add more aerobic activity to get your heart rate up. Also you should do some weight lifting every other day because you will lose both muscle mass and fat as you lose weight. Lifting weights helps restore your muscles. How much weight and how many reps depends on your current fitness level.

From what I've noticed with myself, diet is more important than exercise for weight loss, but it helps to do a basic amount of exercise daily such as a half hour walk. The calorie burn in an exercise session can easily be canceled out by a small snack such as an energy bar consumed before or after the exercise.
Thanks for this!

for me I like swimming... I find it works the the whole body and is gentle of knees and joints... They only difficult thing about it was to wear a bathing suit.
Find an exercise you like then you will be more likely to do it.
Find an exercise buddy can also be a great motivator.
Good luck

If you are interested in trying check out weightlossquickandeasyplan.com. I was 310 now after a little over a months I am down to 279 and still losing. Weight loss is quite difficult without exercising. Exercise and diet both are play most important role for the weight loss. Bicycling, walking, jogging its most common exercise to lose weight.
