For me, i had weight issues about 2 years ago. I weighed around 230 lbs. I was eating the wrong foods, because i thought that they were good. But, then i knew that i had to change, because my doctor checked my cholesterol, and it was at 227. I was in shock, but he told me that i had to make a change immediately, or it will cost me. I started baking my foods, such as chicken and turkey, eating veggies and more fruits and yogurt. I got checked again, and i weigh about 190 now, because i followed these steps.

Julit, well done for your weight loss .

It might also help if you talked with a registered dietitian (this could need a referral from your GP).

They are health professionals who specialise in offering their clients detailed advice about eating in a healthy way.

Here is my small list which is helping me to keep my weight on normal level:
No sugar. at all
Drink pure chimp super tea.
Swap white for brown (bread, rice, pasta etc).
Exercise at least 3 times a week
I feel great and have a lot more energy following this regime.

From my own experience a few weeks back i was so backed up and not able to poop and my stomach was killing me and i wound up in hospital (twice) they did an ultra sound to see that i was clogged up. Anyhow, i ended up losing 10 lbs from the diet they put me on. No proteins were allowed at all. They informed me that proteins were actually the hardest thing for the body to digest. But, there i was stuck eating toast, greens, salads, jam, tea, water, not even cheese was allowed. But i will tell you as the lbs started coming off i was considering to keep it a regular diet, accept one problem. I do not make for a very good vegetarian and it drove me nuts not being able to have so many things. But, maybe something half way in between is good. i.e. more salads, more water, tea etc... but dang gotta have bacon. lol

Thats wonderful!!! I bet you feel so much better too. Keep going. Do you work out as well?

One thing I have learned to do is look at what is in each product. For example, ever see the" veggie fries? You look at the package and think, "wow this is awesome!!! Finally a chip that is healthy for me." Totally wrong! Regular potato chips has more nutrition and less calories then veggie fries do.

I no longer buy pop tarts and toaster strudels for my family. What a horrible breakfast or snack!!! Empty calories.

Calories in calories out!!! Keep up the good work!!!

I am glad to hear that incredible experience, so you are lucky enough to deal with that issue before it had become worst. This clearly highlights the fact that many health problems that people are struggling with can be overcome if people are willing to do what it takes to deal with them. I hope you stick to your new eating plan so that you can become healthier and healthier.
