I'm the opposite because I suffer in the heat quite badly. It ruins everything for me when it's hot outside. It makes me stay away from people cos I get so hot and yukky, and it makes me extra nervous which makes it even worse. I'm so glad the summer is over now. Sorry that you're getting nervous about the Autumn approaching.
![]() I went for a walk this afternoon. Not that far cos my back was hurting but still quite a decent one, so that's something anyway. It wasn't raining either. ![]() |

That's great that you went for a walk! Especially if your back was hurting. I took my first little walk in here for the day and I'm just freaked out by the bad shape I'm in.
I made an appointment to see the primary care person which I'm dreading. I just hope I have enough meds to hold out until I get there. I'm glad the cooler weather is agreeing with you. I'm sure if I were going outside a lot I would feel the same way. If you walk everyday, I think at least you won't add weight and you'll probably lose some. I so wish I could walk again like I used to. I don't know what happened to me. ![]() |

Well I was busy yesterday with photo related stuff that I've been doing a lot of lately. I took a few too but not checked them yet but I don't expect much. I've mainly been concentrating on getting my existing photos that I have for sale showing up easier so they are found on the agency I use to sell them.
I went out yesterday to a local park where there is a nice lake, as I wanted to get photos of it lit up by the evening sun with nice reflections. Some big black clouds got in the way though! So a big boohoo to that. I'll try again today. I'm glad you made that appointment. I know how scary it is waiting for an appointment for anything. I hate it when people give all the usual advice in situations like this because people don't generally understand how it feels. I DO understand though and there is some advice that helps me deal with things like this. It is that there is no point worrying about it before hand, as what will that change? You'll still go and whatever happens will still happen. Worrying before hand does nothing to change the situation but make you feel worse for however long it is before you go. I know it's easy to say "don't worry" as you can't control that, but what I've found over the years is that if I tell myself to think that way enough, it gets embedded into my head and it really does stop me worrying and dreading things so much. I hope it helps you too. Yea you're right that walking every day should at least keep my weight the same, but I do eat a lot too! Hehe. I love my food and I comfort eat so much. The last few days have been a little better though. Hope you're having a nice Weekend and aren't feeling too low. |

Hi Moomonster! Your photos sound wonderful! Are you planning to take any of tonight's "blood Moon"? I hope I get to see it although my windows are hard to reach due to the clutter here.
I hope you're going back out today. I still haven't placed my grocery order so I'm not over eating too badly. Or eating junk food. But I won't be able to resist buying a bunch of it. Thanks for the advice about worrying! I used to tell myself that too, but anxiety comes upon me anyway nowadays since I have to prepare so much for appointments with walking in here and getting up as early as possible. But right now I'm not feeling too bad. I just wish I had my junk food here today lol. Good luck with your photography today! I hope you go back to the lake! |

Yoohoo Angelique. Mooooooo.
I went to the lake again yesterday but it didn't look very good so I didn't take photos. I've been out twice today though. Once to the shops and then I popped back home to get my camera and went out again. My back hurts too much for me to sit down and look at the photos though! Hehe. Oh well I'll look at them later probably. I woke up in the night at about 3am so looked out at the moon and saw it at it's full eclipse. I wasn't dressed to go outside though so just watched for a few minutes from the window. It wasn't honestly much to see anyway. I would have loved to take photos of it but I don't have a lens to get closeups of distant objects so there was no point trying. Did you end up seeing it? I understand about the worrying. It takes lots of convincing yourself before you can feel better about stuff like that but most people are always going to be a bit nervous still of any sort of appointment. Hope you're feeing ok today. |

Hi Moomonster! I'm glad you got to take some photos today! That's great that you went outside twice!
Last night I was a little late for the moon but I still went out to the fire escape (first I tried looking out the window) to try to see but no luck. I didn't see anything in the sky at all. It was disappointing. I looked at the NASA live feed though online. I almost got stuck out on the fire escape. There's a steep step down onto it from the doorway, and once I stepped down for some reason I had trouble stepping back up! That's how pathetic my body has gotten. Without a railing I'm afraid of steps. I was too afraid to go outside the building in the front. There was no one out there and from the window it just looked very scary. I used to walk to the subway to get to work past 1 in the morning! I was always afraid to, but I made myself do it. Now I'm just much too scared. I can't run anymore. So I missed the eclipse! I was so excited around 10 pm, and then sad two hours later. I'm glad you got a glimpse of it! My friend did too, so I'm not sure if I was looking in the wrong part of the sky or if clouds were covering when I tried to look. I just had to turn my AC on again because it feels too hot in here. I hope it holds up! It's making some weird sounds like maybe it's going to break down. I sure wish I had some snacks here. I ate my first half of my sandwich but I want ice cream or something. ![]() I hope you have a good rest of the day and go back out tomorrow. Are the leaves turning colors in your area yet? |

Helloooooo.
![]() That's a shame you didn't get to see the moon, although you didn't miss much. What work did you used to do that started after 1am? Or shouldn't I ask? *laughs* You have AC? I wish we did in England. Nobody has it in England unless you're very rich. I don't know why, because it gets hot here in the summer and the humidity especially can be horrible. If I was rich and had my own place I think I'd have AC. I know just about everyone in the USA has it. Nah you don't want snacks! Only if you plan on sending them to me. Yummy. No the leave aren't changing colour yet, or not very noticeably anyway. They have started falling a little though. I'm keeping my eye on that because I always miss the chance to get photos of the Autumn colours, and I'm determined not to this year. |

I used to work in large office buildings in NYC. They didn't mind when I went in, so due to my issues I preferred going in overnights rather than be there during the crowded daytimes. So, yes, I often went to the subway past 1 am. It was very scary. But my procrastination was always such a problem often I went that late. I'm starting to get more anxiety as that appointment next Monday gets closer. I wish so much I didn't have to go! I didn't know AC was so rare in England! That's totally news to me! I've never been to England although I wanted to go for a long time (too physically disabled to go now though). I don't know how you can handle the hot weather without it. Just a few minutes in a hot room and I feel like passing out! Well, I'd better have lunch now. I wake up so hungry but then I don't eat breakfast, just wait hours for lunch. It's better to eat breakfast they say if you're trying to lose weight. Oh well. :/ I hope you'll go out tomorrow. Have you thought of anyplace you'd like to go? I wish I could go out to the beach, just to walk around and look at the water. ![]() |

Hellooo. Mooooooo from the moomonster.
![]() How's you? Well I've been out once today, quite early this morning but not THAT early like the other day. I went to a local place that's just a bus ride away where there is a castle. I've got so many photos of it but I keep going back to get more! Hehehe. I've been busy non-stop since I got home on photography related stuff. Arrr ok I understand why you used to work nights. It made me think of my work when I read that, cos there was a short time when we were all put on flexi-time. They cancelled it in the end as it didn't really work, but I was soooo many hours behind! I would get in at the latest allowed time and leave at the earliest allowed time, and I never caught up the time so they kept back some of my pay instead. That was a looooong time ago. I miss those days. Sorry that you're feeling so anxious about next Monday. It's bound to go better than you're thinking - But you probably already know that. It's hard to think that way though isn't it? I know exactly what it's like. Most Americans seem to want to visit England. I used to always want to visit the USA, and I have done twice in my life now. I had an American friend a long time ago who was totally crazy about coming to England, she wanted to soooo badly, and in the end she did - To see me! I had money and a car in those days so I took her to all the typically British places like London, loads of castles, etc.. I miss her very much. It's a long story. As we're writing in public like this, I wonder how many other people read our replies? Hehehe. If anyone else wants to join in, please say hello. ![]() |

Where did you go when you visited the US? The photos of the castle sound wonderful! Do you have any online? I'd love to see them. ![]() It's dark and rainy today and it's getting me down. I wish I could have gone back to sleep. I tried but things kept waking me, the phone, the neighbor's noise. ![]() Yes, if anyone else wants to join in the more the merrier I guess. ![]() |

Yea it's too bad things ended with my old friend. It was a very long time ago now. She was married and we fell for each other so that messed up everything.
I've been to Michigan and also Louisiana. Louisiana was the most interesting as it was soooo different, and it made me laugh how some of them speak! Hehehe. Some had a really deep country accent, which I actually quite like but this one couple I met had such a strong accent, it was hard not to think they were putting it on. Even the couple's Son warned me before we went to their house that they speak funny! *giggles* I do have some photos online on my own website but I need to update it. I'll do that soon and then will send you the link for the site. There's lots more about me there including a photo of me. *yikes* I'll try and sort that out in the next few days as it needs more up to date photos on, and older ones removed. It's a shame you get depressed in dull weather. I love it when it's really wet and windy and cold! I like to go outside in it and get blown along the seafront. It's so much fun when you can barely walk because the wind is pushing you over, and you have to hold onto stuff to stay upright. ![]() Hope you have a good day today. I haven't been out yet but I'll go for walkies sometime this afternoon. |

So you were in Louisiana, cool! I've never been there myself but I've heard some great accents in my time. Sometimes I like to watch coverage of Congress on cspan to hear the various accents, ha-ha! It will be fun to see your website. I have one too, but I'd never link to it from pc, too worried about staying anonymous here. I have stuff I have to get done today and the neighbor's noise has already begun. It's not too loud though yet. Have a great walk! |

About 18 months ago I met this woman in one of the worst storms we've had here since I've lived here. It was so windy at the seafront where I live, that me and everyone else was struggling soooo much to walk into the wind! I would have looked so funny seeing us all trying to fight it and walk without blowing over. It was chucking it down with rain too and I loved it. There was this woman sneakily videoing people like me with her phone, and somehow I got the nerve to ask her if she was filming people! Hehehe. I wasn't having a go or anything but just wanted to have a laugh with her about it. She said she wasn't filming but I told her I saw her. She didn't deny it but I think was just embarrassed. She seemed nice so I asked if I could take her photo and she said yes! I really liked her but was too shy to speak to her longer. I wish I had though. I'm very rarely that forward and brave, but that's one reason I love weather like that because it's something different that everyone in sharing together, and it somehow makes people want to talk about it to others.
Yea you'll be able to walk into the wind again some day. Please don't give up hope of that happening. ![]() I understand about staying anonymous. I would tell anyone whatever they wanted to know in private but wouldn't give too much away in public, like in the forums. I only had a short walk today, and got some photos of swan cygnets. ![]() |

Oh, baby swans! I googled some pictures to see what you meant and they are so cute! Lucky you! I have nothing much around here (maybe a beach) even if I could go out.
That's a nice memory, the lady videoing you. You must try to seize these moments, and make more of them! I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do much physically again. I fear I may only have another two years to live because of the problems I have (plus there's a total solar eclipse the day before my birthday in 2017, last time that happened I lost my job and my cat and eventually my apartment - im an astrologer). My lungs are quite damaged unfortunately. It's OK though, I don't feel like I'm living for any real reason. I'm not sad, I just don't enjoy anything anymore. Anyway I hope you had a nice afternoon/evening! |

Do you get many swans where you live? They're everywhere here. I have so many photos of swans! Only recently though have I got lots of baby swans, because 5 were born in the nearby park/lake a few months ago, and I have photos of them from tiny until almost as large as their parents.
Too right about seizing the moment. I really try and do that but I don't often get very far. I looked around for that woman for months and I may have seen her one other time, but I wasn't sure and I bottled it. ![]() That's a really sad thought what you said about your life. Please don't think like that? You don't know what might happen. Your body is always healing and changing and you may well be fine. You should stop vaping though because that's not much better than cigarettes. I'm not sure what to say about the astrology stuff! If I say that there is no way it can possibly be true and that talking yourself into believing bad things will happen because of an eclipse isn't going to help you, would you be angry with me? I'll never believe any of that stuff. I'm a science person and believe in facts, but that doesn't mean I don't have an open mind to what might or might not be out there that nobody understands. There is just no reason to believe some stuff though because it's all been invented by people. Hope you're feeling a bit more positive today. |

The swan pictures sound great! Nope, no swans hereabouts that I know of, not that I get out to see. I've studied astrology for over 30 years, so I've found it works strikingly well. Of course, when it comes to prediction I like to think of it as more of a weather forecast for people, things, and events. Had a wrench thrown in the works today with my preparations for my appointment Monday. Anxiety is through the roof right now. Hope all is well with you, and that you got out today. |

People can find anything to be true if they want to believe it. Same with religion. There was a TV show in England a few years ago where a guy proved how people believe things if they want to with astrology. I won't get into details of what was done because you probably wouldn't like it, but I found it fascinating anyway. I'll say just one more thing about it though - Since astrology was first thought of and the way people act and feel and what happens with their lives was connected with the positions of stars and planets, the positions of the them has totally changed. People still believe exactly the same things though and haven't adapted it.
As for vaping - I just use my common sense. Think about what you're doing (I mean people who vape, not just you of course) - You're breathing in smoke full of chemicals into your lungs. However anyone tries to make out it's safe, it's just logical common sense that it isn't. I don't know how a percentage of how safe it is can be calculated but I know one thing - Whoever comes up with these figures has something to gain from it. People who smoke cigars claim there's nothing wrong with them, people who drink lots say it doesn't affect them, and people who take drugs say similar things. Sorry about the wrench thrown in the works with your appointment. It'll be over soon at least, so try to look forward to Tuesday instead if you can. I've been out today, to the coast again but a bit further away than usual. Got a few photos but nothing very different. |

Can I jump in? Moo monster, the last two weeks I have been sooooooo miserable about my tight clothing! I feel so gross and bulging out at work I just am not performing to my potential. All I do is think about getting home and into my something comfortable, even those clothes are not fitting correctly. It sucks having this food cycle be such a presented in my life.
