How do I ask a nonspecific question about life without rambling? I guess I'll start with an observation about the point/pointlessness of life - those who argue it has a point already believe it has a point & seem to benefit from getting you to believe as they do. Those of us who are unsure have no real belief and simply feel like we're wasting our time with it all. The effort feels like it's forced & inevitably wasted.

I felt that way too until my depression lifted. Now I'm glad I'm here and can still be here for my husband and daughter.

Its about what the point is for you. The world is to big otherwise.
What is your utopia? How can you structure your goals to reach some part of that utopia so that they are manageable? A year, 9 months, 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, a week, each day... |

Hi LeftOutOfAndBulied, welcome to PC!! And it's OK to ramble a bit on here if you want/need to.
But I don't think it's that important telling you any view/opinions on the point/pointlessness of life thing I may have, right now (??).......for me, I'd say that it's much more important as to why you might be feeling this way?? Your name says that maybe you're going through or have been through some pretty hard times?? So do you think it might help a bit more telling us about some of that?? Some really supportive people on here............ So for now..........just here if you want to talk........in your own time, OK? ![]() Alison |

i hope you feel better soon, and am sorry you are bullied, i know how that goes. i was and am an airhead because of injuries, get made fun of alot, but believe it or not i got through the bullying stage and actually made friends with bulliers. not that i ever wanted the as friends but i think they saw the light after they themselves going through the same things they put me through. don't give up. people change and you may feel better knowing this now you just have to wait it out-what goes around comes around.

the meaning of life is to live a meaningful life. in other words: the meaning of life is to live a life full of / with meaning. what is the meaning of your life? what things do you find meaningful? what do you value? what is important to you?
the answer is different for different people. the world would be pretty boring if we were all the same. most people are quite colonial. they like to spread their ideology everywhere... they feel validated and warm and fuzzy at the thought that there are lots of people just like them... it can be hard to find yourself amongst them... what sorts of things give you life meaning? when i get out of touch with these... usually because of other people imposing their ideology on me... i feel... numb... lifeless... depressed... how about you? |

The point/pointlessness of life is usually decided by the person living it. The point to my life isnt going to be the same as anyone else's therefore its really a question that is going to have a multitude of different answers. One must answer that question for themselves and only themselves.
