I have been dealing with many issues for the past year or so. 3 surgeries due to chronic pain and 3 hospitalizations Psych because of loss of hope and suicidal thoughts. I am always in a fog. I think some of it may be caused by the pain meds I am on. I just cant shake it.Can anyone else relate to this? I really need to be in the hospital but cant afford to be out of work. I am just so confused. I feel better getting the tratment I need but then I stress because I think my family will suffer. I feel as though the only reason I have to live is to pay bills.
Im not sure if this makes since but these are my thoughts.

Welcome to Psych Central.
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. I live through chronic pain myself along with PTSD,MDD.and Anxiety. Chronic pain can cause deep depression. I'm not saying that is your case but I know it worsens mine. Taking the pain medication doesn't help with brain fog.
You are worth more than paying bills, remember that. I hope you find comfort here as I have.
