I called the ambulance as I could hear my mother screaming whilst emptying her bowels. I as me her if she need an ambulance I stayed on the line as the lady transferred me to a registered nurse. I told her all the symptoms my mother told me then about 20 mins an ambulance came. I was told to sit at the front with the driver and I saw the notes about the call and what had happened. Then I saw something I thought looked odd underneath my name they wrote "has psych issues and is will known to RSKR also assaulted staff". The thing that concerns me about that is I have absolutely no recollection of EVER assaulting staff. So I am doing things and then not remembering them? Also my mother said that had to be related to her as she has a verbally quick tongue and she also never remembered me assaulting anyone...

I would ask about it, just to ease my mind. Maybe they had you confused with someone else.

Im guessing according to what you posted they put your name on the paper as the person who made the call and the RSDR (riskier) and reason why they are marking patient as riskier is because your mother was verbally abusing them (mouthing off, yelling, refusing to co operate to the point where they felt she was a danger for assaulting them.) my suggestion is if this continues to bother you contact your treatment providers, they will be able to help you locate a copy of the report and explain what the report means. |

did some more checking in your location RSDR stands for Road Sign Detection and Recognition. sometimes ambulance paramedics have to shack to see if the patients vision is being affected by drugs/ alcohol or medical condition. they use the road sign detection and recognition test to find out by asking the patient to follow an object and ask the patient if they can see something across the room, sometimes they draw a road sign on a paper and ask the patient if they know what that picture is. Im guessing that when they did that with your mother she got angry\ verbally abusive and threatening manner.

My husband is a career firefighter/EMT and I can tell you that if you were to assault them, you'd find yourself strapped to a backboard with your arms tied down to where you couldn't move. That's what they do with combative psych patients. I think you would remember that as I guess it's incredibly uncomfortable.

So if she did get angry then they would have most likely wanted until she calmed down to do something. That's often how I deal with my mother anyway just wait until she calms down.
