Is it wrong not to do self destructive behaviour to please your therapist
Is that giving into peer pressure ?

I’m asking because I did DBT group and the people at the group said that to me. I thought is that wrong ? I felt bad or ashamed about it. They kinda laughed to when I mention it.

If that helps you not to engage in SH then it's a good thing. Maybe in time you will be able to do it for yourself. And since you are in DBT you will learn different skills that might help you with that. I say good for you.

If it to please the Therapist, then do not hurt yourself. If you do not hurt yourself because you do not want to do it anymore then do not hurt yourself. Do not hurt your self for any reason.
