Sunshine.....everyday, it's quite mundane actually
But despite that it's flu season around here. It's a germaphobe's nightmare!

Wow, you sure made a change when you moved!! Did you WANT to move to Wyoming? BRRRRRR. I'm glad the sun is out for you today. Here in the Chicago area it's been cold and rainy.

Finally broke down and had to turn the furnace on last night....Leaves are starting to turn and it's very pretty. Getting down in the 40's at night, but still reaching the 60's during the day.

We had snow, about 3 inches on Saturday and now another 3 inches today. Both days the snow melted during the day. I think it is 37 degrees now. I wore a sweatshirt and vest today. Saw my sister and she liked my scarf so I gave it to her.

LOL I knew it was time for that fall cleaning of the furnace that hubby had been putting off when one of my younger sons came in and asked "are we ever going to turn on the furnace?" Hubby did it tonight after work.

I prefer it cold, when the furnace broke last winter I had no idea, I keep the window open and a fan in it all winter long. The kids also like a very cool bedrooms. But my son was running around in shorts with no shirt and windows were still open in the diningroom and kitchen. I told him to close the windows and put some clothes on!

Ah, I wish I had some snow like you guys.

I don't recall seeing snow since I was a kid!

Of course I'd hate to have heavy snow and be snowed in.

Snowed here yesterday (Minnesota). So far today we're up to a relatively balmy 37 degrees F. Accumulating snow this early in the season is pretty rare, even here -- I hope it's not an omen!

NorthEast Nevada: First snow of season last week...a good 5 inches. Remained on ground for a couple days. Melted since, (yay)....though winter is just lingering to begin.
From BayArea California where rain is the extent of winter...already miss it. Although snow is beautiful while falling, it's the cold and mess associated with it that I have trouble adapting to. NOT a winter gal. Spring in Cali is my favorite season. Perfect weather.

Daugher got to see the snow for her first time (tho wouldn't go out in it..lol). Told her, once winter here really hits, (several feet of snow by then), you'll be ready to go back to Cali. (gets coldest here in the western state area ...common to be below freezing...maybe high teens, during mid winter....YUKKA).
Eager for spring/summer, and winter really hasn't even begun yet..lol.

Our first significant rain of the season is going on today and supposedly tomorrow. I love the cool, moist air...such a relief and nice change from all the heat.

I just don't want it to rain so hard it causes floods/mudslides in the recent burn areas. But that always seems to happen to those areas, (who certainly don't need it) whereas we get a light rain or drizzle. It doesn't last long here either.

Today began our winter in coastal California (the north coast). Up here it's technically a rain forest so it rains six months out of the year and today was our first day of rain. Oh boy, here comes six months of the loneliest gloomiest weather...

Oh I don't know Lenjan, you're heading into snow season. I remember taking my twins (now 16) trick or treating in long underwear, those fleece pjs with feet, sweat suits, jacket and snow suit. With a costume on top lol. It was so bitterly cold we could only go to two neighbor's houses. About every five or so years snow hits that MN/UP of MI/WI area early and hard.

The last time I remember an early hard winter was four years ago. The twins wore flip flops up to my mom's and I TOLD them to bring at least shoes, they would not listen. When that first three feet of snow hit the second week of October I assured them it would all melt away. Normally doesn't stick until November. LOL that year I was wrong. We ended up being stuck there a month longer than planned. Woke up one day to a day of only flurries in early November and said we've got to go while the going's good.
