A Good Day is When?????????????????????

A good day is when I accomplish something I wanted/needed to.

In another way, it's also a good day when my issues don't overwhelm me to a point which I find unbearable.

The best days involve both.

Well, I did report that I finally got some sleep...now the rest of the day is me trying to hold onto my positive attitude......haven't been doing too well...

Thank you for posting and yes you are right. I have to say that I could not say that just a few short months ago, but I can now. So many times someone can tell me something many times but until I sit quietly and listen and that lightbulb comes on it is then that I can get it and make the change. And when I can make the change it will last for it is for me and I can see what I needed to see all along but somehow could not until it was time.

I hope you got your cat a brushing and your exercise in. And when it is all said and done that you will sit quietly and enjoy that cup of coffee from your favorite stovetop coffee pot.

When I can feel okay in my own skin.......

When good things happen to others.

A good day is when I'm not so busy that I work through the night & actually have a chance to sleep & wake up the next morning.

A good day is waking up on those mornings after a good night's sleep & when I do that first move of my body before actually waking up & my 3 dogs notice that move. They all pile on top of me with kisses & nudges wanting to be petted & hugged & snuggled with & I can just lay there with them for awhile enjoying their special love.

A good day is one when I actually get something accomplished on my "to do" list rather than just "worked on", ah, that sense of accomplishment really feels good.

A good day is when I have the time to spend several hours studying God's word to read those things that help me have the peace that helps me get through the day & learn something about God that I hadn't realized before.

A good day is when I am actually on time for the places I need to be at.....which means that nothing has gone wrong or has distracted me from getting the things done that I need to get done before leaving (always seems that something unexpected comes up, or I am in slow motion from being too tired).

A good day is when we go out trail riding through the woods & seeing all of God's beauty surrounding me & not having any horse accidents when we are riding. Nobody falls off or gets bucked off or we have equipment failure (oops, the saddle slid around the horses belly even after tightening the girth & ending up underneath the horse instead of ontop)

A good day is when it ends up being a rainy day & I can work on the things indoors that need to be worked on. It's a good rainy day when I remember to close the windows before the downpour hits. The other day, I was downstair working in the kitchen when the rain came pouring down. I stood there for a couple of minutes watching the beauty & then remembered that my bedroom windows were wide open (that has happened too many times to count I am learning about KY weather slowly)

A good day is when I learn something new or I have had a chance to experience something new.

A good day is when I don't misplace my truck keys, or my cell phone especially when I am running late to make it to an appointment or other planned activity. Or when I don't misplace my daily planner that has all my plans & activities written down for the day. But then, a good day is when I loose something & look all over the place for it & the I end up looking at the first place that I looked & there it is.

A good day is when I bake a cake or other yummies & forget that I had them in the oven & come back the next morning to a perfectly baked cake (ah, the joys of having an oven with a shut off feature & a oven that cools off quick enough to make the shut off feature work well). I have done this several times & was shocked every time to end up without having a disaster.

Come to look at it, almost every day is a good day no matter what really happens because no matter what happens, I try to find the good in it & figure out what I have learned & the wonders I have experienced.

DPS, I related to your matching socks the other morning.....I was running late to help haul the horses for our 4-H group trail ride......I had done my laundry & had it piled in the laundry basket & took all the socks out & put them into another pile. The 2 socks I took out were light blue, but not the same light blue. It took me several more minutes to find the right match (promised myself that I would take the first sock I found of the 2 to make that my pair)

A good day is when my son hugs me and says he loves me.

A good day is when you spend it with the one you love.

Thank you for answering and for all the things that make it a good day for you. I hope you got a good nights sleep and that your dogs were able to wake you up. I have heard those kisses and nudges are great.

I hope you get your to do list accomplished and that you have time to study as you would like to. I know the feeling of being on time and not having something step in the way of making it.

I really hope you do not end up beneath the horse too often that could be quite scary. I do remember trying to get the saddle on the right way so it would not slip but sometimes that is a little difficult.

I find that working on things inside is great but rainy days I tend to want to sleep as the rain just makes it feel like one of those days. And learning something new is great.

I wish I would not misplace things and then already have passed it up several times being in a hurry and overlooking it again. I have never heard of an oven that shuts itself off and cools quickly. That is really cool. And good for you for if it was me I would have burnt down the house by now.

I think you have a point in trying to see the good in every day, sometimes it is hard but there is always something to be thankful for at some point. Thank you for reminding me of that.

As far as the socks, I do understand. For some reason I have to have matching socks whether anyone knows it or not I do. Sending you gentle hugs and loving thoughts. Always.
