If you could give one piece of advice, what would it be?

I would advise others to get a good education. It is the way to a better life in the vast majority of cases.

Food for thought: One of the most famous college dropouts is Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft.

wow good question....

I have a few I can't decide from:

1. Be yourself. Or more importantly, be the person you want to be. And don't let anyone stop you from that, especially yourself.

2. Surround yourself with people who care about you, (in good and bad times) and no matter what they can make you feel okay.

3. Don't regret or forget your past, use it to make a better future.
Thanks for this!

Always show respect for others, even if they have a viewpoint different from your own

Invest if you can and invest early in life for retirement,

never stop learning.

Save what you can as you never know when you'll need an emergency fund.

Remember that no matter how bad things seem - it's always possible to start over if you're willing.

Never burn your bridges, always leave on a positive.

And famously the advice my father gave me when i left home for university. "Always make sure you have enough money for a cab ride home, and make sure nobody has a camera."

Be responsible with your finances......if you don't have the money to pay for something, don't buy it (other than maybe your house).

Knowledge is a powerful tool when used for good. It can be your ticket out of where you have been, but if not careful, it can be a ticket to places you don't want to be if knowledge is not combined with common sense & a good knowledge of right & wrong.

Learn from your mistakes. We all make mistakes. I try never to make the same mistake twice, but I sure am able to find enough other mistakes to make that keep me busy learning.

It's much better to be honest in a diplomatic way than it is to tell a lie trying not to hurt someone. It takes more effort on our part to be diplomatic, but it's better for everyone in the long run.

1. Never make important decisions when you're upset.
2. Live below your means, so you don't have to work like a donkey all you life. Simplicity is better
3. If you're in a partnership - remember what you loved about them when you 1st met and keep this alive. A relationship is like a plant - you need to nurture it.
4. Keep credit card spending minimal and use cash only most of the time.
5. Live in the moment -mindfulness.

If you are tired, take a nap before you fall asleep.

LOL Byz. How about:

If you have an itch you should scratch it.
If you're hungry you should eat.

Only one problem, my naps are very short sleeps, so when I nap, I wake up & then I can't go back to sleep & really sleep off my tiredness & if I'm really exhausted the nap ends up being an extended sleep anyway.

If I scratch my itch it only ends up itching worse......better to spray it or rub anti itch medication on it to help lessen the itching.....too much experience this summer with chiggers & mosquitoes & spider bites. I am covered from head to toe with bites that itch.

Best if hungry to eat healthy food however. If I'm hungry & just snack rather than eat, I end up too full to eat the good food I need to eat so I go without really eating well.

My suggestions:

If your tired.....go to bed & go to sleep for as long as you need to sleep.

If you itch, apply anti-itch med to the itch in order to lessen the itch or stop it from itching.

If you are hungry, eat healthy food first, then snack if you are still hungry afterward.

Don't take a shower in an upstairs bathroom with a sky light in the middle of a thunderstorm!!!!
