Seriously. List song(s) that you feel reflect the general 'feel' of a particular form of psychotherapy. For fun of course!

Existential: "
", Jefferson Airplane.
Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic: "
", Cheap Trick.
Psychodrama and Gestalt: "
", Duran Duran.

No offense to all those great therapists out there, as well as great patients.....but this one comes off the top of my head - or from somewhere.

Interesting idea! Alas, I'm not clever to think of any off the top of my head, but I am impressed with the concept!

Music therapy has been proven quite effective over the years. I know I saw differences in my patients who attended music therapy.

For me, "Nutshell" by Alice in Chains and "Scream With Me" by Mudvayne are "theraputic"

"I Don't Remember" by Peter Gabriel for Oedipal psychoanalysis! (In fact, almost every song on this LP/CD is based on a psychological theme including the songs "Family Snapshot," "Not One of Us" and "No Self Control." It's a great recording and worth a listen.)

Didn't think I could come up with one but I did!
"When doves cry" by Prince for psychoanalysis...
"Maybe I'm just like my father, too bold
Maybe I'm just like my mother... she's never satisfied..."
