I was listening to a call in radio show on my way home from the doctor and they were talking about the fight that erupted between 2 women because the one lady was eating spaghetti on the subway train. They were going back / forth verbally and then it broke out into a fist fight. It's on Youtube now.

So the radio show was asking callers to tell them, what they would not like to see people do publicly. It could be something funny you saw or something that irks you. For example here in Canada people can't smoke in bars or restaurants. I'm hoping to avoid debates. I'll start by saying it bothers me when someone picks their nose in a public place.

Loudly talking on cell phones in a public place...take it outside!

Pee all over a public toilet seat. What is the deal with that? I don't want to sit in someone elses pee, nor do I want to clear up someone elses pee either.

I live in an apartment building. When they take it outside, I become the beneficiary of half of an unwanted conversation. Use of cell phones while driving is hazard I could do without too.

Any sense of personal "ownership" of a public place, even the "air" around (talking too loud; letting one's dog bark, my current problem) like playing music too loud with the car windows open.

I agree with everything that been said so far - all valid complaints.

That really bugs me too and I don't get how it ends up on the seat instead of in the toilet lol.

Here in Canada you can get a ticket if you're caught using a cell phone while driving. Problem is there are some who still do it, but I totally agree with not doing it.

My next public peeve is of course, against the law but that doesn't stop determined people lol. I swear this is true - several years ago I used to do my exercise walk along the public walk way on the river here. It was broad daylight and a young couple was having sex - so I think it would be nice to not to be too affectionate in public. A simple kiss and walking with arms around waist is fine.

Thanks everyone - great grievances.

I'd have to add a big old "Me, too" to the grievances about cell phones. And why do these clueless folks feel the need to speak at top volume? Arrrrgghh.

Littering has always bothered me. I've seen people who are eating fast food in the car and throw the whole bag out the window.

This behavior isn't a major crime, but I don't like to see people picking their teeth in public.

Also, inconsiderate smokers. Yes, you have the right to smoke, but do not BLOW IT IN MY FACE! (or my CHILD's face, for that matter)

I have a real problem here with litter of cigarette butts - you can't even find a clean space of ground to walk on.

But this is the worst - when I walk to gym, I have encountered ***********GROSS ALERT************

used condoms, used diapers, and used sanitary towels ( I Kid you not) lying in the street. And I live in a middle class neighbourhood.

I certainly don't understand people like that.

Cars with stereo base so loud my ear drums vibrate.

Parents berating their children as if they were performing for Jerry Springer.

People chewing with their mouth open.

Argue! I live in an apartment building and every summer there are at least 5 fights (4 of which are the same couple). It's always past 11pm at night and they go at it for hours in the parking lot. It's soo irritating!

I dunno if I'm being somewhat intolerant, but lately I've been feeling a little uncomfortable when I see people brushing their hair, curling their eyelashes or putting on make up while in class.

I used to cringe when someone would start clipping their fingernails while riding in a subway car. I would jump out at the next stop and go running down the platform to hop into a different car. That Clip Clip sound . . . just made me nuts.

I second every greivance mentioned especially the cell phone use, littering and loud music heavy on the bass. Noise of any kind is difficult for me to take so I wish there were much stricter laws about the level of noise coming from motor cycles and some trucks. They can bring me to my knees with anxiety.

The one I will offer up is people who gab to cashiers and cashiers who indulge them while a long line of people wait. I have had to abandon my groceries more then a few times to prevent my rage from going off on those people. ARGGG!!

I hate when parents don't watch their children while they are shopping and the kids play with store toys, run around and scream and the parents are oblivious.

Oh yes Sabrina.... That is the worst of the worst. Especially when driving down the highway there will always be at least one and often more pulled over to relieve themselves. What is up with That!!
