It rained all night and all morning, but it's cooler this evening, supposed to get into the upper 50's.

Hot and humid, something we are not used to. It is usually "dry" heat here, but now it'll be in the 90's or more all week. And humdity of 70% at least.

Means poor sleep all week, as I don't sleep well to begin with for various reasons. No a/c, just running a lot of fans which blows all the hot air around. But it's better than "still" or "stagnant" air.

And since this little guy describes how my head is pounding from lack of sleep, as well as how I hate summer...here goes:

We have had two small quakes in our area over the past 12 hours....people refer to the current weather conditions as "earthquake weather". Not sure...but the earth has been mildly moving as of late.

I think we are getting all our rain in August. We have been very dry so can't complain. Today was cooler again too, which was nice. Not a lot of sun but pretty rainbows and light streams between the clouds.

When I work in weather that hot I have a cooler with ice water just for soaking rags in and hanging around my neck or on my head. Kinda like my personal A/C.
Thanks for this!
