So I run out of checks on August 17th and then go into the bank on Friday the 19th only to find out they no longer give you a handful of extra checks (like it said they do online on their website) and I then place a rush order for 3-5 days because I wanted to make sure I had some by the end of the month to pay rent, along with other bills. So then I go out of town between Thursday August 25 (the day my checks should've come) and get back August 29th only to find that they still haven't arrived.(Wnt to visit my brother and his wife in Atlanta Georgia, had a very nice and relaxing trip.) I call BofA and find out that there is no record of my transaction in the system! I had a feeling something was weird when the they said they'd order me them and just bill my account without offering me any sort of confirmation, but I figured they knew what they were doing (the bank manager had come over to help the teller)
So then the guy on the phone (Aug 29th) said he'd rush them to me in 2-3 days, with no charge and gave me his name and id number for confirmation.
Yesterday was day 4, and still no checks. I call up Bank of America and while they tell me the order has been placed in the system (whew), the checks should be there. I said they're not and say I'll call back today if there's nothing.
So today the mail is delivered with still no checks. I have a family birthday lunch and then figure I can go to the post office and get a money order afterwards.
For some reason the post office can't do it (though I've done the same thing once before) because they say it's just like an atm and I must have a limited withdrawal amount and that I should just get a cashier's check.

Note:I went there to avoid the cashier's check fee because I'm just going to scrape by as it is this month anyway because my paid days of vacation weren't paid because apparently I have to tell my bosses to have them be paid otherwise they wont think to do so and I have to wait another nearly two weeks (next paycheck) for when they'll add it on.

So anyway, like an idiot, I walk back over to my local BofA branch only to find that they closed at 2 pm because it's a SATURDAY! (omg I forgot, that's what happens when you work the weekends normally)
So now I am going to have to call BofA again and remain calm while I ask them where are my checks, which at this point will have to get here at the earliest by Tuesday- that is, if something else doesn't go wrong! Luckily I already called my Landlord and told him the situation and he's very understanding, seeing as I've always been ontime or early before. But still, this is frustrating because I also have utility bills that are coming up due here pretty soon and some payment plan bills that will have to be late this month. Jesus, I'm a positive person by nature, but I swear, this is wearing on my patience. I've heard many people complain about BofA, but I've never had any problems from them before this.

Hello, DespondentDaisy. I have had problems with Bank of America too. The representatives hardly notice when I talk about Bank of America customer disservice. That is the downside of not having to deal with customers in person.

Wow, that a really frustrating check situation. I hope it gets resolved quickly come Monday.

The larger the bank, the less they bother to do any customer service. I banked with a local bank for 15 years before it was taken over by Chase. Chase had a series of passwords for telephone banking that were arranged such that I could never communicate with them over the phone, so I opened an account with another local bank. I pay my bills through its electronic payments option, so I no longer have to write checks for regular bills.
Thanks for this!

Just make sure to check your statement! When I had an issue with my account I discovered that every time I called the 800 they charged me a fee! Not a small fee either, like $5 a call. There was nothing about that in my paperwork at all. I ended up getting it all removed by my local bank, but adding that further insult to injury put me over the top! I immediately closed my account.
