Hello!

The chatrooms are a non-judgemental environment. There are no problems considered too "small" or too "big"...it's all a matter of perspective. If you want to obtain and/or give support in chat, the best room to go would be "Support Chat".

The other rooms are basically open-topic, where anything can be discussed. As long as it's appropriate, of course.

And then there are the rooms for designated chats, such as Dissociative Disorders Chat. These rooms revolve around a specific illness or topic.

You can go wherever you feel most comfortable. But please know that 99.9% of people in the chat rooms are supportive, accepting, and kind. I RARELY see judgement on the forums, or in the chat.

Don't feel bad I feel the same way. I don't know why it scares me. Or I feel like I am just jumping in where I don't belong. butting in so to speak! I need to work on this I suppose.

Don't worry. I don't like going into chatrooms myself. I went in there and nearly everyone said hello. They won't judge you or do anything bad. It is optional if you want to go into the chatrooms. I don't going in there, I much prefer posting and reading posts on the forum.

One solution might be for you and a couple of friends to start your own chat room.

Oh, and I love going into the chat rooms when I have some time! For sure no one in the Designated and Support chat rooms will judge you. Those rooms are there for good reason and the Chat room leaders are great and make certain everyone feels welcome.

I spend more of my time in the open-topic rooms - and I did feel nervous at first. But if you go in and say "Hi All" I bet you'll find out we are just all regular people who have issues, but like the connections.

Hi

I went in the chatroom when I first joined here and I did feel welcome, but I now like posting on the boards.
