Interesting. Ancient Rome was probably full of immigrants from around its vast empire. There were a large number of slaves also. Interestingly, I think the study might confirm that a lot of the Roman slaves were from the Balkans. (The etimology of the word "slave" is from the word "slav" - namely, the Roman slaves were from the slavic provinces / areas now known as serbia, croatia, macedonia, bosnia, bulgaria, slovakia, etc.)
