I feel the same way. I understand that people like to live a monotome, normal life. Life has no purpose and as far as I know, we only live once. I'm not into following society's rules. I think everyone should be able to do what they want meanwhile they don't harm anyone. I don't think I'll have a normal lofe, maybe I'll end up killing myself or in prison or who tf knows. But I'll do what makes me happy.

Having lived with constant ongoing fun filled chaos and at other times peaceful serene quiet, I much prefer the quiet life. Might be boring to some but I find "Go, Go, Go" very boring. It's up to a person to decide what makes them happy and what is boring. If people are happy and not hurting anyone, what more could I wish for them? Judging other people's lives as boring is rather pompous. We don't all have to have a certain kind of life to be fulfilled. Watching race car driving is BORING to me....but watching someone knit a useful blanket is fun and exciting. I don't judge those who like race car driving and wouldnt want to be judged because I'd like to learn to knit.
Thanks for this!

This lifestyle suits me great. And after having kids other options lost their lustr fast. For now, I wish my life could be even more predictable and "boring" ... I've bewn hit with too many big negative surprises, that take the last bit of control from my hands, I just want a breather of predictability, so I would ear to peek into the future or look for potential options.
One man's trash is another's treasure- even when that trash is monochromatic life.

We all can find things to be involved in with our lives thag keep it from being boring. It doesnt mean that it will be exciting 365 days of the year but intersperced with time to relax are interestjng things to do.

I found my computer enginering career to be never boring & always a challenge. Enjoyed my vacations skiing in Jackson Hole or Banff & long weekends skiing a few hours away at June Mtn or Mammoth, & backpacking trips into the Sierra's in the summer

After my career, I enjoyed working on my dressage horse riding & showing & also my american eskimo dog breeding, training & showing to be interesting.

In my latest phase of life, moving 2100 miles away from where I lived all my life to a place where i didnt know anyone has been anything but boring. My farm requires work but being visited by the lical wild animals is totally entertaining. Nothing is ever the same. I het involved in the community & ons never knows what that might bring up from caring for abused stallions, to rescuing a dog that was in an accident, to helping a friend clear out a home that was like a museum getting those things ready for auction. Vulunteering at the horse psrk on the floral decoration crew for the world equestrian games which has led to the same volunteer work at an annual eventing show there & also volunteer work at the dressage shows.

I have found wonderful friends to get together with & we are all not local so we love to drive & see new places we havent seen & try out new restaurants.

With the farm there is never a time when I dont hsve to figure out how to repair something that breaks.

Guess its all in what one considers boring. Im just so thsnkful to be free from my bad marriage that just having that freedom is wonderful & enjoying life on my oen is never boring....always experiencing something new & challenging

Is there a lesson in life? Or is the lesson that the only thing that matters is that we spread are genes and nothing else does matter? Morals, conscience, guilt and love. Why does it matter to have these things. You and I won't be around a 100 years from now so why the **** does it matter?

People just bore me. You can't be free in this world. There's no such thing as freedom. Society says you're free to do what you want. Really? I'm free to do what I want? I have to suppress the real me just to conform to society. I will age, wither and die and never will I truly have lived. The truth is I will live a lie, and I suspect I'm not the only one. I am admittedly a coward. But it's either be a coward or destroy myself even more in the long run.

So I guess I have to achieve those meaningless goals of getting a house, and working my life to pay it off until some day I keel over. How depressing, to know my choices in life are limited.

I think perhaps you have a need in yourself to create something original or to have a noteworthy experience. I felt that way when I was in college, wanted to have an extraordinary life curing cancer or becoming a rockstar etc. So I did some things like recorded an album or two, played some shows at my favorite venues. So maybe it's just one itch you have to scratch, to feel or do something special. A house, marriage these other things you list are not meaningless at all. Perhaps it was just that easy for you to achieve them, you need something more difficult to achieve.

There is more to life than that - the irrational emotions running wild since born, pleasures of life such as friends, beer, relationships, travelling, and much more.
Educations, car, house, etc, are only the skeletal of the organism. Although, it isn't really that way. You don't really need a car and kids to live a good life.

Religion used to give purpose, until it's been deteriorating and now the purpose of life is the irrational liberty of the human organism. Unfortunately that form of liberty requires controlling and dominating others so they won't get in the way of what you want to get.

It does leave us scattered and in need to take care of our own rather than unite together and take care of each other. Freedom is not the light at the end of the struggle. Freedom is a concept. You can also have freedom from caring, freedom from helping, freedom from fighting. And just the freedom to give yourself what you need without interference. It is a dire concept when it comes to the idea of unity and stability. The inability to sacrifice one's needs for another because today we increasingly fear we won't get the favor in return. Biased to my life experience, of course. But just because it's biased,
it doesn't mean it's not real, and it doesn't mean it does not happen to others in at least a similar way.

Pleasure from life is not something that can be explained. And that's a good thing, since when you get that little "feeling" towards something such as an aquarium in the room (my case) and amplify it, you just want it. Doesn't have to be explained! You want it so much you can just take your car/bus and ride right away to the nearest pet fish store. This is my story, about the aquarium hobby I have acquired.

Time is my biggest enemy in this world.

I have never had any goals in life at all. When I was a kid at school, people asked me what I want to be when I grow up. My answer was always "I don't know. Nothing really". I just wanted a future where I'm living, eating, sleeping. That's it. I don't have any plans or ambitions to be something else. This is a very artificial and human emotion that is alien to me, I'm the most boring creature you will meet. Boring because all I do is eat, sleep, eat, sleep, eat and sleep.

I can relate to not wanting to be anything as a child. In fact, when I was a child, I didn't want to grow up at all. I wanted to be a kid and have fun forever because I was smart enough to know that being an adult isn't all that it is cracked up to be.

I think my first ever goal in life was to be a professional gamer or viral YouTuber lol. That shows you how little I cared about having a regular career.

The only reason why I'm so motivated to have my own successful online business at this point is because I hate working a regular job and being told what to do and when to do it. I want to do whatever the hell makes me happy in life because I've earned some happiness after all the hell I've been through.

I'm certainly not normal haha
