My website is down, and they wouldn't help me! It drives me mad, there's always some excuse, every time I ring, email or chat; I am not eligible; my contract is over or they just having some random problem, why does nobody ever help me‽‽‽‽

I don't like tickets, they take far too long, up to 48 hours in fact, this job is on my To-do list for__ right now...

Sorry, had to smile, so many times I have had odd conversations with BT, SWEB, etc and I do think they read from a script. Regardless of what we say they'll stick to what they have been taught to say. I hope you get your problem sorted out soon.

Exactly! it's ridicules, I wanted an actual employee of my website hosting company, I wonder if he even knew any other english words.

I always call my site hosts on the phone now, and still, one has problems like that where they don't get it (or I don't because their sites are too "arbitrary" and full of extra stuff that doesn't apply to you :-) and it takes forever to get someone to understand the problem. I have three hosts and 1-1/2 of them are pretty good but the other 1-1/2. . .

Well there's your problem, throwing a hissy fit is no way to fix your internet. I'm not going to console and "share your problems and comfort you and tell you 'there's nothing you can do'" because I'm not that kind of person.

I've got att and my internet crashes multiple times in just an hour...and I spend all day on the internet. It's worse for my brother who wants to play videogames but can't even finish a round because his game lags and crashes. Find another way to deal than whine and complain. Go to some other company if this company truly isn't any good. If your contract isn't up then pay the fines and switch to somewhere else.

@DrSkipper personal connection issues are far different from website hosting ones.

While the occasional downtime for upgrades is not totally unreasonable for a VERY small hosting company, big ones should be able to make them seamless and transparent. You largely get what you pay for. Personally I'd consider self hosting.

I actually bought a Linux server but I could never work out how to use it.
