I played sudoku puzzles to keep my mind from dwelling too much on worries and anxieties unnecessarily.
Thanks for this!

I read a new book and made myself a healthy smoothie. I posted and deleted bad posts. I chatted with someone about my binging. I went to church. I went out to lunch with Mom and had a healthy lunch.

I treated myself to some fabric, so pleased that found it on sale, to make a slip cover for the sofa yesterday. It was so peaceful and distracting from the anxiety to work on it and it already makes such a difference not to look at that worn sofa anymore. Woke up smiling just to see it in the room.

Today I went for a walk in the woods, drank a fruit smoothie and a vegetable smoothie, and listened to a webinar on postivity. I bought myself some quinoa.

-I bought a frozen chai latte,
-I said no to a social invitation...that could be a bad thing but I'm choosing to look at it as good, because I really need me time.
-I went for a walk
-I put film in my 35mm (non digital!) camera. It was exciting for me because I haven't even thought about taking pictures in ages and I'm excited about it again.
-I've been hanging around with an ex of mine. He's turned into a really good friend and I'm happy.
Thanks for this!

I made myself a fruit and veggie smoothie. Don't think I'll use kale again, but I was out of spinach tonight. I had another class on positivity tonight and took notes. I posted a couple things in the discussion chat which is an improvement. I've been noticing the way I'm thinking about things today, I guess I have to notice what is before I can begin to work on shifting it. What I notice is that I have a lot of resentment. Who would I be without these thoughts? Who would I be without the story I tell myself about my past experiences? If I tell myself a better story it will improve who I am.

Valet parked at the enormous mall so I would not have a complete meltdown. $9 very well spent in an effort for my recovery.

It's about time I did something for myself! I went for a walk in the woods and saw a lot of deer and other wildlife. I got kind of out of breath but that's all to the good. I have to get back in the habit of walking.

I pondered ...

What's it all about, alfie?
Is it just for the moment we live?
What's it all about when you sort it out, alfie?
Are we meant to take more than we give
Or are we meant to be kind?
And if only fools are kind, alfie,
Then I guess it's wise to be cruel.
And if life belongs only to the strong, alfie,
What will you lend on an old golden rule?
As sure as I believe there's a heaven above, alfie,
I know there's something much more,
Something even non-believers can believe in.
I believe in love, alfie.
Without true love we just exist, alfie.
Until you find the love you've missed you're nothing, alfie.
When you walk let your heart lead the way
And you'll find love any day, alfie, alfie.

I did some weeding in the garden today. The roses have set buds and are starting to open. I took Becky on a 3 mile hike this evening. I made progress on cleaning the kitchen.

well my S/O and I split the difference on a glucometer (blood sugar tester)... and I have been testing my sugar here.. hopefully i will continue as time goes on.
It is a good thing for myself to be doing- As of right now it is not believed me to be diabetic but-- i think it is a good thing to check especially with my dizzy spells and head aches here lately (I think it is still stress but 2 weeks going on I need for myself to rule out a factor).
I have family history of diabetes (bad bad for my dad where for him it lead to 'helping' macular degeneration which he went blind and kidney failure for him (his alcoholism did not help his diabetes) and i hear that my mom's is getting bad too with medication being used to balanced to help her out) Both are Type 2. Both of them I used to go to the doctors with them and help them monitor their sugars.... any ways- enough of back ground on that but I am going to start testing my blood sugar levels and record them-- when I have a little extra money (which I seem to some how at times build up) I will see my general doctor and discuss perhaps a "routine check up" and take in my recordings for them to see as well.
My general doctor knows how I am I think-- meaning I am very through with things-- Almost every time i see her for a head or chest cold i bring in my sheet of 'what has been going on' and what I have been trying to clear it up on my own... I know with some doctors that is frowned upon, due to they see that as the patient doing their (the Doctor's) work-- but she does not seem to really mind it which is a good thing for me because I am me, and since I don't go in the offices claiming to know ever thing (I am not a doctor) just trying to help out and learning things from readings and all-- i think she distinguishes that. I even write on my sheets that I am not sure what else to do to help to get better with colds and that is why I am seeing her (lol).... SO I will do my blood sugar testing here-- I will keep my little record booklet going as best as I can so I can take it in when I can to get a check up.... *sigh* a check up - tis scary for me...
and I have babbled enough...

I also go fruit
