Name one good thing about your day so far #2

The crew I worked with tonight were a fun crew.

I heard two of my favs today, simply by chance:
This morning before work in the car: Vivaldi's, "Winter" (in its entirety)
and this afternoon at the office: Kamakawiwoʻole's "Over the Rainbow"

In the 1990s, I was misdiagnosed by psychiatry and treated like a deplorable defective young lady. It has left me traumatized. I recently started therapy to work through it and move on. Today, I had an epiphany during my therapy session. Now, I can start to heal.

I've got two. One is brief. The other is lengthy.

Brief goes first. Today, I nailed the "recipe" for hand squeezed lemonade by the glass. Simple as it is to make, getting the fruit juice to sugar ratio is tricky. Orangeade didn't go as well for a by the glass attempt (juice is much more mild, leaving essentially a sweet water with a hint of orange), but I typically do pitchers for that anyway.

The other: My boss pulled me aside yesterday for a chat. I assumed it was to discuss the end of my employment as I go back to school, and I was more sure of it once he asked when I go back. Conversation continues...he mentions what a fantastic job I've been doing...blew his expectations out of the water...great employee...etc. So, instead of letting me go, I was promoted to crew leader, given a $.40 cent raise, and given the ability to work weekends on a strict "as able" basis through college, with my regular hours starting back next summer! I'm THRILLED about the promotion. First job ever, and I'm now on the same rank as the guys who trained me 2 months into the job!

I was given a gift of thoughtful insight...still trying to process. Was hard to read (terrifying and truthful)...taking forever to sink in) but once it does, I feel I will be a better me... if i could just let is pass through this wall in my brain.

My boyfriend hugged me through a panic attack. We didn't fight.

Work went wonderful. My manager basicly told me that she wished she could give me over 40 hours, because I work so hard and efficently. Lol. I LOVE MY JOB! =D

Traffic wasnt as hideous as I predicted. Am an hour early and just sitting now on charming side-road in Btwood waiting to go to hotel to pick-up NY colleague.

Recieved my $20 rebate check today from PNY Technologies

Worked with tech over phone and got remote view of surveillance cams at my house working. Can check on my house anywhere there's internet. Less stress away from home. Even have camera in fish tank...

That could be quite soothing actually to watch your fish swim around. That is supposed to be very therapeutic

Got my first paycheck today! Only 75 bucks, but that was just my first three days. Gettin' as close to 40 hours as I'm allowed to get. Haha. I love my job.

It is I watch them all the time. Iv'e had aquariums for over 30 years. Want to get more tanks to breed fish.

I didn't quit my job.

I really helped out another human being with returning their phone-- IDK why but that really made my day

As it's such an early start, there is plenty of time for it to improve.

Listened to some oldies that brought back good memories.

Discovering I don't need to have my room torn to pieces by decorators and stuff; just the other rooms! xD

Two good things, I survived the week and I have the day off today. So thankful.

The rain stopped and the sun came out.
