I woke up early again today...I have lots of errands and things to do...but I really just want to go back to sleep for a bit and enjoy a nice Sat morn. Krazeeee still doesnt understand the concept of "Hey! We get to sleep in a little! No work today! So totally NOT necessary to get up at O Dark Thirty

For the most part, though, I feel good.

I was at the drug store today and I sat at one of those blood pressure test seats. For a year, my heart rate was high and docs were concerned they could not get it below 92...sometimes fluctuating up to 112 beats per minute. Well...today, I had it checked on the monitor in the drug store and blood pressure is 104 over 68 and heart rate was 62!!! Woo Hoo!!! I got it down!!!

I cleaned my room up a lot and hoping to get more done later. It's a work in progress, so if I put more than 1 hour into doing it, that's a goal met.

Today actually wasn't too bad. My girlfriend and I had a talk this morning, but after that things went pretty well. Had a long shift at work, 2 to 10, and I got to smoke pot before I went in. =) The air is still broken, but it rained so after that, work went well. Just hoping that tomorrow goes well, too. I think it will.

I visited my father today for the first time in...5 years, I think? Long time. Anyway, things went very well. I think there's hope of rekindling a relationship there. Had I been told that a week ago, I'd have died laughing at the thought.

Also, on a far lesser note, the improvements I made to my favorite rifle completely eliminated an issue I was having with it feeding. I was pretty happy about that.

I restored an antique chair that sat in my grandfather's house for 40 years, and his basement for another 20 after he died and my aunt moved into the house. It is beautiful and it makes me think about how he and I cherished so many of the same things.

We found a beautiful Cardinal in our garage, who couldn't fly very well and his wing looks injured. We put a crate to trap him with some water and food. We have a Wildlife Society and I called /left a message, so they can get him tomorrow. He looks like this one:

((LynnP)) that is so sweet of you --- and that is a very pretty bird...
cardinals are one of my favorite birds just due to so vibrant red color.

good thing about my day it has been slow pace, my S/O bought me a little bag that we found at the flea market and himself a little iron that i guess was made back in 1910-1920-- that i think it cool.. my cat has been himself with wanting to be near and play around

Nice you had a good day ((beauflow)) with you getting the bag. My mother used to have her grandmothers iron - it was the kind you heat on a burner (not electric). I have my grandmothers school copper bell they used to get the kids inside - she was a teacher.

My father and I are set to have lunch together next Tuesday. I'm stunned things are going so well.

I won't lie and say I'm not now on the lookout for flying pigs, but I'm pleased with things. to say the least.

I jarred my knee kicking a pile of dirt. Sounds bad but I'm still laughing that it happened from dirt.

I was getting impatient for the Wildlife Society to call me back.....so I looked at the Humane Society and found an organization called Wings. At least they had a real person on the line and they asked if I could drop the bird off at the local veterinary office. Me and the girls got a smaller cardboard box and he cooperated....then drove him to the office, where the Wings place will pick him up. Hopefully they can fix his wing and rehabilitate him. I'll call tomorrow to see his prognosis. We all love animals but my youngest has incredible empathy for all living things.
