Well I like to watch depressing films because I like to get smacked in my head, and like to cry out after watching it... so this made me go from Tim Burton style to Aronofsky, and then to distressing European films.
And yes I think that I built some tendency to get masochistic, and developed hunger for more shock and stimulation. So I think I should do some more cheerful things.. first off I think I need to stop watching psychological thrillers and dark realistic films.. And actually watch more light films. Thank you to guys who were on chat tonight, and I also sincerely apologize for snapping out and being too sensitive. |

twofaces, I wasn't part of the chat, but I'm sure they will be glad to hear what you said here.
![]() To answer your question, I do think attitudes can be affected by what you do. Some classic research in my field, social psychology, verifies this conclusion. And I am a firm believer that we need to try to spend more of our time on positive things. I like humor myself. It helps me to deal with the woes in this world. |

People do things for idiosyncratic reasons. If you enjoy what you are doing, I wouldn't necessarily change it but I'd take a look at it and understand where it is coming from and why you are doing it and what you are receiving from it? To me, riding a roller coaster to get my thrills is better than bungee jumping from bridges or climbing mountains? Similar sensation, costs less, takes less time, etc.

I agree with what Pachy and Perna have said--
I think it should also be a thought on what you have mentioned as well-- Quote:
I say try to balance out things-- it is ok to expose ourselves that there is evil in the world, however there is a lot of beauty and good things as well... It is ok to say things could be worse, to see the brighter side of things that one has in life, but not only see those things, but to cherish those good things as well.. I am not sure if that is at all helpful- but it is my take on it ![]() Be well
