I have heard multiple ppl say naval piercings are not only super painful, but get infected very easily---perhaps because there's clothing constantly touching it?
I have friends that have the cutest nose stud earrings. I have what you might call a "regal" nose (in that the bridge is strong, though straight)...and I just don't think it's the right "type" for a nose piercing,  I used to want a septum bad, then someone told me it made the inside of their gum raw, and I said,  I have my tongue pierced as well, though I had to stop wearing anything in it cause it started bothering my jaw,  That and I had braces before and was afraid it'd cause my teeth to move (front ones). I must say, though, even w/the diff ear piercings, the tongue one was completely painless. I was shocked; it didn't bleed or swell up. I can still put bars in the tongue, it's juth thuper uncomfortable,  I cannot imagine in my wildest dreams getting genital or nipple piercings,

I've had absolutely no problems with my navel piercing. It was a bit swollen for a couple days after, but that's it.

I have my septum,labret, tongue, nostril, and just normal lobe peircings. I have had two conch peircings but they always seem to get infected no matter what I do.
I do not wear the labret, I have had it stretched before, it's still open, however whatever jewlery I have in it rubs the front of my teeth and gum line, since its a little lower. The septum I just wear a small peg, same as nose. The funny thing is, I got some of my peircings just to feel them, and don't want them to be noticable. I had to know what the tongue felt like. For me that was the most painful, very swollen, it was by far the worst. The others were just in and out. I think I just like the adrenilin, I have quite a few tatoos, I think I lean more towards that.

My mother & I went to a jewelry store in the mall, can't even remember when but think it was when I was in high school. I decided that I really liked the pierced earings so much better than the clip on kind & liked to wear earings once in awhile.....wasn't into jewelry, makeup or any of that kind of stuff.
I also didn't do well with shots or needles but somehow I didn't put that together with having my ears pierced until after I had it done & while I was waiting for my mother to have her ears pierced. While sitting there, I could feel that foggy cold feel come over me, then everything blacked out. How embarrassing that was. Needless to say, there would be no way I would have anything else ever pierced.....but in reality....I personally don't even like the looks of many piercings in an ear & definitely don't like the looks of piercings on any other part of the body than the ear. I enjoy beading, so I like making pretty, very simple earings for my own ears.....but everything for me is simple & not a lot of anything.

Harley, in most cases the VCH doesn't hurt that much. The tissue is about half the thickness of the average earlobe - the painful part is supposedly the placement of the recieving tube under the hood. Of course, any incompetent piercer can botch even the least painful of piercings, so it really does depend on the person getting pierced.

I tried having my ears pierced twice, plus that spot on top of the ear (whatever the name of that is), as well as my bellybutton. They would get infected instantaneously, no matter what I tried, so after a few weeks of trying to keep them, I gave up.
Now, when I went to get my tattoos (I've got 2 of them), they were both done in solid black ink. They turned grayish within 2 weeks. My doc said that my body was rejecting foreign objects (the piercings, the ink), and that I should just stop while I'm ahead.

Metaphorical count? Took an arrow thru the heart on several occasions. Going in is fine. It's having it yanked out that hurts.

Hi everyone. Recently i have just pierced my ears for the first time. It has been about 5 weeks now. I took out my starter earrings for a while for an MRI scan and noticed that the holes are a bit too small? They look like full stops. Lol. Is this normal and will they get bigger? Is this size able to accommodate s other earrings thanks for your help.

I have 2 eyebrow piercings, one is a loop and the other a curved barbell, and I did them both myself, as well as most of the 4 pairs of ear piercings. All in all I have 10 piercings, and I did about 8 of them myself. Disclaimer: Don't try this at home.

Yes, I have five holes altogether on my ears, and one belly button piercing that I was stupid enough to fall for one day when I was sixteen years old and the future seemed like I would love it forever lol. No tattoos, good thing you cannot receive one while intoxicated or I might have a photograph of ALF on my forehead by now....

i pierced my tongue 3 times ( like it and it get annoying and like it again
 )and pierced my belly last year but it got infected and it really worst but i will pierce my belly again soon i just love it , hope it wont get infected this time

I have my lower right side of my lip pierced, don't wear it anymore though. I also have my left cartilage pierced, and 3 piercings going up starting at the lobes. I'm getting my right tragus pierced in a few days, can't wait!

I should probably update...
I now have a grand total of 11 piercings (new ones are italicized):
I think I'm done with piercings now. I haven't gotten a new one in well over a year and haven't even had the slightest desire to. I like how mine are laid out and go together. Tattoos are a different story though...in the past year and a half, I've gotten 2, and I'm already thinking about possibly getting another. Body mod is addicting! |
