Thanks Yoda. That lady and I just saved a life. If that ever happens in real life I hope it goes that well.

Thank you Yoda, that was well made and contained a lot of good information. It is very important, I think to learn CPR, you never know when you may need to intervene to help save a life. In the building I work, every floor has an AED station set up and ready to go, I feel safer for it being there.

Again great video, everyone please take the time to run through the exercise on the link!

When it asked what I should do about the guy who's lying on the floor, I chose, "Ignore him." Was that not right?

Ok, I learned something new. I've never heard of an AED before.

that was great, really gives you something to think about. There's a similar ad campaign on UK tv teaching people basic cpr, according to the latest version of the ad it's saved 28 lives.

Fire extinq., hammer, gloves and a razor utility knife. Put 'em in the trunk of your car. I did because I was always afraid of being the first at a car accident. I took a cpr and first aid course but outside of helping someone that afternoon I think it's easy to forget. One has to study and remember this stuff by heart. Uhh...yeah really though. Courses for a company certification should require repeat instruction to ensure the stuff sinks in and stays. A piece of paper saying you're certified means buggerall.

I agree it should be mandatory in schools everywhere, I know in my town there are free courses for cpr every few months, I don't see why these people aren't employed by schools to teach students.

So cardiac arrest does not mean, get the handcuffs?

Seriously though...thank you very much for that valuable information.
