I know this is entirely subjective, but Jacob Levy was Jack the Ripper. I will always say that he is the Ripper.
Some detective has claimed that Jack may never have existed because of some weird reasons that don't really fit.
Again, subjective.
See, this case is so hard to talk about because everybody has different views. I've been interested in it for a few years now and even played a game based on it (Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper). So, my opinion stems from a different point than someone else's might. Considering there are three main suspects who fit the bill, it's hard to choose only one.
I just needed to get this off of my chest, haha. I just have a firm belief he exists and him having more than the Canonical Five victims wouldn't bother me (that was one of the dude's reasons, if I'm not mistaken). I mean, since when have we characterized a serial killer by how many confirmed kills and unconfirmed kills he has done? Just because it is practically set in stone that Jack killed these five, no more, NO LESS, doesn't mean that he didn't kill more. Ted Bundy is a good example. That man has most likely killed way more than confirmed, but we're not saying that NO WAY did Ted Bundy not kill more than THIS MANY.
Sigh. I need to quit using the internet. It raises my blood pressure.
Time to go play the new Amnesia game!

I didnt know there was any theory out there that he didnt. I don't see how anyone can say he didnt. It's like saying I dunno, Henry the VIIIth didn't exist.

I mean it's totally different to like saying Robin Hood or King Arthur or Merlin didn't exist. Although I believe that some form of each of them also existed. A person existed who did things credited to them and then the storytelling element took over what with the rarity of writing things down, so tales were told by oral recitations, so of course there were chances for Chinese whisper syndrome to kick in & 'impress the visitors' bragging, but I think all three of them existed in some form or another, their stories were just embellished over time.

But yeah back to the original, (sorry I sidetracked!) I can't see how anyone could deny the ripper's existence.

As long as we are going there, H.H. Holmes "admitted" to way more crimes than could be confirmed but much evidence suggests he may have harmed as many as near two hundred individuals. And if you are familiar with him and the story, it kind of would make sense that the number be so high.

Also in the past few years, there has been some vague weird theory floating around that he (Holmes) and Jack the Ripper may have actually been the same person... Which is particularly ludicrous, but then again logic doesn't really make money.

But then I really wonder: why the need to make H. H. Holmes any more bizarre?

…ahem. Tangent sorry.

So... about that sky. It's um, up there alright...

H. H. Holmes as Saucy Jack? There's some potent Nightmare Fuel. I'll have to store that away in my story idea box.
