So I'm going to go replace my eyebrow piercing soon and I'm debating on whether I want to go with the standard vertical piercing again or rather do something like this:

eyebrow piercing - opinions?

A zoomed out example:
eyebrow piercing - opinions?

Or, do the above over my left eye and a standard vertical piercing over my right. I don't know…would it be "too much" or too "unprofessional" looking? At least it would be unique to have all three (I have yet to see anyone with that design. Also, does anyone have any opinions on getting three piercings at a time?
Thanks for this!

It is VERY attractive if done perfectly. It can not be sloppy - or it will not look good at all.
Thanks for this!

The piercer I'm going to go through is an excellent piercer and they get custom designed, high quality jewelry, so I know it will be done correctly. And you don't think that having that design over one eye and a simple vertical over the other will be too much? I mean, I don't think it would be especially considering that I'm a musician. But then again, I'm planning on going into academics too...

Eyebrows are cute. Noses are cute.

I do tend to follow the rule less is more on piercings too.

But NOTHING is hotter than a girl with a bellybutton piercing. OMG!

I'm aware of the less is more rule and I know what I want to do is sort of toeing that line, especially since my nose is pierced as well.

I'm not sure if I could pull off a bellybutton piercing or not…that's sort of the least attractive part of my body because that's the last place you lose fat when you lose weight and I'm still a bit pudgy there.

Just make the jewelry simply studs or diamonds (or whatever the right term is - sorry I am a guy an not familiar with the terminology). Not larger stuff for each piercing and I am sure you will look great.

That's what I planned to do—a simple blue-purple (they call it blurple, ha ha!) for the vertical and some sort of pair of small barbels, like a black jewel that reflects purple and blue. I'm not sure if something like that is available or in my price range. Or maybe a small stud barbel that's multi-colored (like a unique custom design) for the vertical and maybe some small silver stars for the double horizontal. I'll have to see what designs are available and what I can afford.

So when you said that belly button rings were attractive, is that only on girls with a completely flat stomach or is it still attractive on someone who is average size and doesn't have a completely flat stomach?

That's such a sick design, but first off what kind of job do you plan to get? If you're going into a professional field I would get just one or maybe get something else? I have several piercings done and one of them is a small septum piercing and I alway get compliments on it and flip it up for work since I'm in the healthcare field.

Also getting multiple piercings is easy, just more money. I got two upper helix piercings at the same time

Well could you wear a retainer for your piercings?

I guess it really depends on what your peers are like. Do you notice any of your prof have piercings? Any other composers have piercings? If not then maybe choose something else.

Well it's better than getting a face tattoo...so there's always that.

I've always wanted an eyebrow piercing! Unfortunately, my former profession (accountant) didn't allow for it. I'm trying to find a profession that's more body-mod friendly now. I think that piercing would be beautiful!

Go for #2 eyes and #4 nose. That's my old-fashioned "hip" opinion.

That's actually what I used to have before I had to get my eyebrow piercing taken out (I still have the nose ring). I just feel like I want to look a little more "unique"…maybe that's silly and immature, I don't know…

Thanks for your opinion though, it's helpful.

If your piercer has custom jewelry, see if you can get small "pearl" type micro dermals.

Yeah, my piercer can get custom jewelry so I'm sure I could get something like that. I just hope that wouldn't look too effeminate. That's one knock against the double horizontal style—it's more effeminate than just a straight up vertical eyebrow piercing (or a double vertical.

I love the look of it - but just be careful. I used to have an eyebrow piecing and it just wouldn't heal, it got infected and got puss in it all the time, no matter how hard I tried...I ended up taking it out just out of sheer frustration with the thing. I mean, they look awesome and the photos you, I.Am.The.End, posted, look absolutely wicked. I'm just saying...be careful.

I used to have an eyebrow piercing too, so I'm fully aware of the possible problems. I personally think it's worth another try, I'm just not sure yet what design I want to go with.

Having a septum piercing is cool because when you're at work you can just flip it up plus there is a lot of jewelry for septum piercings like clickers. BVLA has one of the best jewelry for body piercings and their clickers are gorgeous.

I personally think having double nostril piercings (the studs) and a septum piecing is pretty cool/cute. To get an idea of what you want try looking at a piercing shop's instagram if they have one. I follow the piercing shop I went to and they do an amazing job.

I've considered getting the second nostril piercing instead (I already have one, so I'd only need to add one). But I still like the idea of a septum piercing and since I can custom order from the shop that I go to, I may be able to get one similar to what's on the BVLA tumblr.

Why not get another nostril piercing and a septum piercing? You can also customn order nostril jewelry and have them match.

Background: I've done the piercing thing many times and, you can't tell now- but at one point I had something like 17 piercings in various places including nose and eyebrow [some others were visible outside of clothing, some only under it]. I still retain 7 of them, including tongue, conch, and surface piercing on the back of my neck.

During that time i had various jobs including ones where I had to do the whole "be professional management and wear a suit" thing... just so you know where I'm coming from with that.

My suggestion would be to do the horizontal brow piercings right now. it is interesting, kind of straddles a certain kind of sophisticated and interesting, takes skill and looks clean. If you have everything else about you together, i actually feel like that would be acceptable in a music department of most universities. I don't personally feel a septum piercing is all that interesting, but that is obviously a matter of taste.

Having said THAT, however- it tends to be more intimidating a piercing visually. Therefore, those unacquainted with piercings in general are more likely to attach a stigma to them and be less flexible when it comes to dress policies, etc.

I do really think the horizontal eyebrow piercing can look really good, and you seem well enough acquainted with piercings on the outset to be able to take care of something like that- not every one is, so it is unlikely to be as common a piercing.

But if you still want both, I would suggest getting the horizontal brow now, settling into a comfortable professional position and then revisiting any other facial piercings you may be interested in.

If you conduct yourself professionally, I feel like you could definitely get away with the horizontal.
