Alone & Confused: Regarding the marshmallows; They wouldn't get it. Funny though...

I am the BEST DRIVER in the world (hehe) but if for some strange reason I get in the way of someone whose time is far more valuable than mine apparently is, I just pull out of their way, wave them past. Sheesh! I feel A Lot happier without someone on my bumper...

We need more drivers like you! I've been stuck behind FARMING equipment for FIVE MILES that were moving so slow that I (with my bad back & nerve damaged leg) could have WALKED passed! That guy was just taking a Sunday stroll TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS to the line of backed up traffic behind him!

I think people with road rage are funny, sad & scary.

Funny because of all the facial expressions and contortions they make.

Sad because they don't realize it's themselves with the problem, NOT the person they're raging at.

Scary because eventually they're going to wound, maim or kill somebody due to their out of control rage, anger and aggression.

Yep.......you're right! "I'm" the one who has a problem!
"I" have a problem because at some point in my life, "I" decided to have kids.
When "I" decided to have kids, "they" inevitably had to go school.
When they had to go to school, the Law mandates they ARRIVE ON TIME!
Because they have to be ON TIME, "I" have to get up at SIX AM & fight to get them ready.
When "I" have to get up at 6am, I'm already more tired than I was when I went to bed because Pain keeps me from sleeping well.
Not sleeping well makes me a little "cranky" to begin with..........
And then a TEN MINUTE TRIP takes me FIFTEEN minutes because some JACKASS sits through EVERY LIGHT TWO OR THREE TIMES!
When I'm FIVE MINUTES LATE the school counts them absent or tardy.
When their counted absent or tardy, the school calls the Truancy Office.
When the school calls the Truancy Office, "I" have to go to COURT!
When I have to go to court, "I" have a major PANIC ATTACK!
So yeah, "I" HAVE A PROBLEM with IDIOT DRIVERS who have NO BUSINESS having a license to drive an automobile, causing me MORE PROBLEMS & STRESS THAN I'VE ALREADY GOT!

Well ... Acknowledging we have a problem is only half the battle ... Correcting it is a whole other challenge indeed.

To everyone here that struggles with road rage issues, I truly wish you the best in finding constructive ways to resolve it.

Otherwise you'll eventually lose your cool and cross a line you can't uncross, and that's when your "legal" troubles will begin.

Sincerely,
Pfrog!

Oh, and let's not forget my EXCEPTIONALLY STUPID EX-husband who has REPEATEDLY caused DRUNK DRIVING ACCIDENTS, one of which was a 15 car pile up on the freeway, one was a hit & run on a lady on her way to work, and COUNTLESS other things, YET HE NOT ONLY GETS AWAY WITH IT- THE DMV GLADLY GIVES HIS LICENSE BACK EVERY TIME!! But no, this is MY problem. HE should be given a NOBEL PRIZE for finding a way to Jedi Mind f*** the laws of this state into LETTING HIM GET AWAY WITH EVERYTHING!!

And "I" should have TOTALLY seen that the Ditsy little blond who rear ended me was WAY too busy taking a VERY important call to notice that I HAD STOPPED to PICK UP MY ORDER AT THE DRIVE THRU WINDOW!!! I guess I should've DROVE OFF WITHOUT MY FOOD! I'm not talking about a little "nudge" either! When I say " rear ended" I mean a THUD SO LOUD that it not only Moved my truck Past the window, but it got the attention of EVERYONE working at Taco Bell that night!

I've been in this kind of emotional state before.

All triggered and not able to calm, soothe or stop myself.

It's not a fun place to find oneself in.

Hope some relief comes sooner than later.

Although I am not a real road-rager in the sense I would never use my car as a weapon. However, for those inconsiderate drivers who block the grid should take the bus. Don't get caught in the intersections please.

Safe Journeys Out There!

I got an email with a post from you, & now I can't find it anywhere. But yeah, those are on my list too.
My WHOLE ISSUE with the "road rage" thing is not so much about the "drivers" impeding traffic , as it is this "driving force" PRESSURING EVERYONE to BE ON TIME every where we go! I would LOVE to be able to take my time, relax and enjoy the ride, but the DEMANDS, "GOT TO GO here, & GOT TO BE there & HURRY BACK because....." No leniency, no time to waste, just RUSH RUSH RUSH ourselves into an early grave! I'm so tired of being governed by time limits & deadlines and ALL THE WHILE being STOPPED IN MY TRACKS as I'm trying to "appease" everyone! I'm tired of NEVER having time to just BE!

I know, alone & confused ... It can run a body crazy and ragged all at the same time & it's hard to not let it get to us.

I drive a bus for a living, and just when I think I've seen it all, I see something I ain't never seen before!

I wish we didn't live in such a fast paced society and it's right difficult to disengage and detach from it, but I'm getting better and better about it every time I go out there and my sanity certainly appreciates the efforts!

Do be safe out there amongst all those distracted and reckless heathens!

Will do! It helps just to vent here & know SOMEONE hears my outage & disgust of all the reckless &/or inconsiderate drivers out there, and to express the fact that EVERYONE'S time is valuable to them as we all have people & things DEPENDING on us and we SHOULDN'T do careless & ignorant things to make anyone else's life more complicated than it has to be! That's the point I'm getting at here.

The people in southwest Florida have given new meaning to the term "defensive driving". Down here it isn't enough to merely expect the unexpected...we need to anticipate the bizarre. My favorite is the idiot who drives in the right-hand lane with the right turn signal flashing for half a mile...and then suddenly darts across 3 lanes of traffic to turn left.

I was pulling into the Burger King lot on Friday and I wasn't moving fast enough for this tw*t behind me and she beeped at me and flipped me off, so I flipped her off back. She's lucky I didn't decide to follow her. It's times like that that make me wish I had superpowers, like the power to blow someone's car up.

OMG I have so many road rage stories I couldn't even type them all. One time I was leaving work and going up a steep curvy hill and this huge stupid ghetto suv decided that he would drive down the curvy hill on MY side of the road really fast. It shocked the crap out of me so my boyfriend reached over and laid down on the horn and almost stuck his middle finger out of my sunroof. He said if he had a gun he would have shot the ***** out of that suv. We almost died that day.
But anyway, it seems like lately I keep running into really slow drivers that won't speed up when I'm on a two-lane curvy highway and there's always someone coming on the straight spots so I can't pass them. Then there's the ones that go slow on four lane, and there's someone beside them going slow also so I can't freakin pass either one. Then there's the jackass that wants to tailgate the freakin crap out of me when I'm already doing 5-10 mph over the speed limit. I keep saying, go ahead, hit me. I dare you. I need to pay my car off anyway....

In Texas the maximum speed limit is the minimum 24/7 and most of the roads are under construction at any one point. This is the home of white knuckle driving & speed traps.

Anyone see the road rage instant karma video on youtube? A woma in Florida videoed a guy who was tailgating her. Then he roared around her only to spin out on the rain slick road! The idea that the woman was driving one-handed in the rain so she could video him is scary and she shouted something out the window at him after he wrecked. Still, ya gotta admit karma's a B!
