If I have any motivation at all, I will try to write in my journal, draw, or workout. If not I will usually curl up with one or more of my dogs and watch mindless television or a movie.

I go for a walk in nature with my husband and dog.
I journal to vent it out, or I talk to someone who will listen without judgement.
Take a herbal bath by candle light and try to let it go.
Eat some 90% dark chocolate and take deep breaths, or have a glass of red wine while listening to some suitable mood music.
Anything that is good and helpful for my mind, body and spirit to help defuse the upset feelings.

Also, getting on the treadmill, or going outside for a good long run is a great way to get rid of A LOT of negative steam.

If practical or convenient at the time, working up a sweat for 40 minutes on the Stairmaster does wonders!

I speak with an Eeyorie accent and continually say "Oh Poo." Exercise and give myself a personal lip sync performance in the mirror. It's silly but it makes me laugh.

Sometimes working out can leave me in just as much of a bad mood afterwards as before, LOL. It's not always the mood booster it's cracked up to be.

And, I can be exhausted from it at times. That makes me irritable, LOL.

When depressed/anxious, I go on the internet, listen to music, and think too much. When I feel in a hyper bad mood, I try to exercise to burn it off.

I cope as best I can and try not to harm self or others, and ...

If it's bad enough, I'll just stay at home and have myself a mental health holiday!

When I'm having a bad day I double-check that all my doors are locked and my blinds and drapes are drawn and I curl up in my chair.

I definitely do a whole lot of the actions listed above....and in the preceeding posts....

I need to get an exercise regimen gong, I do know this....I suspect it would help me a lot.

Getting out and getting fresh air has almost always helped (when I am able). Otherwise, stepping away from the 'temptation to turtle', and making a great dinner often helps....

I forgot to say that scented lotions also calm me or elevate my mood. Aromatherapy, I think they call that. Calming scents like vanilla or lavendar do it for me.

On the rare COOL days we get, scented candles are great to unwind by also.

I've been gaming pretty hard, lately... all day every day... well, most of the day. Just need to keep my mind busy, to distract myself from the things that are really freaking me the heck out, right now! (particularly, moving out on the 18th, and a really worrying health concern. >.<) I've been guitaring a lot, as well; blues. I dunno why, but blues is really helping, and it's not depressing stuff, either, it's fast, upbeat blues, and it seems my folks are enjoying the music as well. xD I hope my new room mate won't mind my guitar playing. >.< Exercise is helping, but I'm struggling to get myself to do it, and when I do, it's super late, and a ton of random exercises, as opposed to my carefully thought-out programme I came up with a few months ago. ¬_¬ But hey, exercise is exercise! Sorry for all the ands and stuff.. and what not. I'm kinda really anxious atm.
