Just thought I'd share something kind of funny that happened to me the other day.

The other day while I was on the computer I heard a noise upstairs. It sounded like someone had come home and was moving about. Only thing is, the rest of my family is on vacation! I then thought "OMG, I'm being robbed", I was too scared to go upstairs, then I started to reason with myself and decided that my mind was playing tricks on me.

All of a sudden a big furry thing darted out from behind some boxes by my computer. It turns out it was a squirrel! I screamed to my finance "There's a squirrel in my house!" and he procedes to jump onto the couch. I say, "What do we do?" and my fiance responds, "Trap it... with a box!" The thing closest to box that was handy were some small laundry baskets. My fiance and I proceded to chase the squirrel around my basement with our laundry baskets.

It hid under the coffee table for a while and my fiance, brave guy he is... sent me to scare it out from under the coffee table so he could trap it on the other side of the couch. My goodness, you cannot belive how FAST and JUMPY squirrels are!

Eventually we got the squirrel to go back upstairs (it scampered up the railing). The squirrel then decided to take a tour of our master bedroom. I was in there yelling and hiting furniture so it would come out from where ever it was hiding. Finally it shot out of the bedroom and into our living room where it hid under an easy chair.

The poor thing kept banging it's head into the glass window part of our sliding glass doors thinking it could get out that way. It took another tour through the kitchen knocking everything off of the counters.

After about 10-15 minutes we finally chased the squirrel out the front door. I have no clue how he (or she) got in the house. All the doors had been closed and nothing had been left open. I'm thinking it might have come in through the chimney.

After the squirrel was out we had a good laugh, and caught our breath, it was quite the workout!!!

OMG that made me have a big smile.....it just reminded me of how my cat ran into my glass door...as well as my dad and my grandfather...isnt it funny (As long as no one is hurt) when they run into those clear glass doors...or in your case the window...hehe....lol i heard one time a racoon had babies in a chimney...lol lets hope that doesnt happen to you!!!

I'm glad my story made you laugh. We actually DID have a family of racoons living in one of our chimneys. Speaking of people & things running into windows have you seen that windex commercial where the guy runs into the sliding glass door & the Crows are making fun of him?

We had a squirrel that got trapped in one of our closets one time. Have no idea how it got in there, and it was very hard getting it out. I didn't know squirrels could hiss, but this one kept hissing like a cat. lol Thanks for the story... I got a good laugh. I can't belive this happened!

And congrats on getting engaged! I can't belive this happened!
