No. Sorry! Its a wheel of soft cheese cut open and kind of melty. The white crust on it is called the bloom and happens as the cheese ages. People eat it, they dont cut it off.
Tiramisu is kind of like an italian cheesecake, with the mascarpone in it. My parents are from around Rome, my dad's sister used to make canasciu with ricotta every Easter. |

Thats why i said it. I think its a much more interesting cheesecake than just a glop of eggs and cheese. Uh - i think we call that frittata!
