I called myself collect once and when I picked up I refused to accept the charge.
I have struggled with the idea of self-acceptance, I turn nihilistic in the idea of thought that yourself is something to be accepted that even if you accept your self you cannot prove it to others. example, you like chocolate so you eat it to prove you like it...I have no idea if you actually like it or you fake liking it. I have no standard of measure to decide objectively that your emotions towards chocolate are real. self-acceptance isn't not an absolute, it is dynamic as time progresses. You work towards self-acceptance but never perfect it. To say I accept myself is to answer a blank question that hasn't been asked yet. But chances are if you accept yourself you must be prepared for the long list of "whys". What I think should happen is what are the questions you can ask about yourself and answer honestly. Honesty the way I see people go on about there self acceptance is like how people judge cover of the book of their lives, and jump to conclusion about themselves. "Never tell me the odds kid" -Han Solo In my words that would mean never accept your outcome based on what you accepted about yourself. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Self acceptance isn't about whether you think your own preferences are true or not. It's about thinking there are parts of you that are flawed and need changing, or that you're worthless and inferior entirely.

To me, it means not beating yourself up over failure. Accepting that you're going to make mistakes.
