I can't put my smart phone down. I'm on it now to write this lol. Between my games, forums, and texting, I have my phone in my hand all day unless I'm driving. My boyfriend gets so annoyed that he'll turn on football or sports center to annoy me back lol. He says "well you always have your phone in your hand so I'll watch what I want". And I happily agree and continue on with playing on my phone. Are you hooked to your smart phone? Are you hooked to your smart phone?

No smart phone, but I'm on my old iPad a lot. I really hate the key board but it's light and portable.

I practically sleep with my phone! Lol. On occasions I actually do have it in bed with me. It's my closest companion. I had the same argument earlier because I was More interested in what I was missing here and other social media's then I was in real life.
When I'm manic like I am now it's harder to put my phone down. I'm NEVER without it though rather I'm using or not.

I'd say that's an addiction and a little concerning.

I don't even answer mine in public. I do have a problem with my tablet though when I'm at home. I seem permanently in front of it

My phone pretty much stays hooked to my purse. I don't get it out much except for calls, occasional text, or to find something on the internet when away from the house. Perhaps I will play games while at work on break or waiting for something but even then, I usually have something else of interest that that is a last resort. There is too much going on to be on my phone.

The downside to that it is that I know there are features on it that I probably would like but don't know about or how to use because I don't spend much time with, not using it to its full potential. Perhaps when I retire this will change.

It is a great tool to me when I need it for the features I do use but it is a rare occasion when that happens.

I basically just use my phone for phone calls and checking e-mail throughout the day. But I check my e-mail, like every hour when I can, so I'd say that's a bit obsessive.

Yes. It is my link to my world. It is my only phone, my only internet, my only "TV".

I am not hooked to my phone, no. I have to keep reminding myself to put it in my bag when I leave the house.

I do believe that if someone is on their phone more than they care about a relationship, s/he's either truly addicted to the object, or really not interested in the relationship.

I am very guilty of being on my phone all the time. I have been a lot worse about it, since I got sober 5 weeks ago. I use it to take my mind off of thinking about using, my anxiety, etc. I know it's not great to be hooked to your phone but isn't it better than sitting around obsessing about things? I know that the worse part is that it is taking attention away from my kid. Are you hooked to your smart phone? I need to try not to be on my iPhone so much.

I'm on my phone if I am not

1) Driving
2) At work
3) Eating
4) In the shower or restroom

Any other time (such as now) I am usually lying in bed on my phone :P

I don't have one......I don't need a cellphone for my job and I find them to be just one more thing that complicates life. I have been in search of simplicity for years and am slowly getting to that point. I'll never use a cellphone. Ever.

I have been coordinating the care for the abused stallions that our women's horse group are caring for during the trial so I'm on my phone constantly texting people.

There are times when I forget to charge the battery....have to do it external to the phone because the connector that charges on the phone broke the first year. I have also left my phone in my truck & then wondered why it was so quiet...usually miss many calls & communications if I do that so I try to be better & always keep it close.

Have had one for years. Computer crashed?! No worries, i have a phone that accomplishes everything that I need.
Is it hooked? Probably, but I also have a crashed computer. Takes pretty good photos, too.

Not bad for $60 month. Unlimited everything...

Sort of. It's the closest thing I call a connection to the world these days.

Although really all that is just playing a few free games on it ...

My phone rarely leaves my hand. But I don't have a computer so my phones are my computers. My whole life is online. I live alone and no one is here to tell me to stop. I don't see a problem with it since I'm housebound.

By not putting your phone down when spending time with others, you're sending the message that you're disinterested in them, that whatever is on your phone is more important. I dumped a guy who was attached to his phone. If you're gonna be with me, you're going to pay attention to me and not put me behind some stupid piece of technology. Point blank, that's disrespectful.
