Even though I had some drama occur in college, I still sometimes feel nostalgic and wish I could be back ib my college years. I do not wish to go through some drama again, in fact, I wish I can change it. But I can't help but wish I was still in college. Mostly because I miss being independent and out of my parents house. I feel dumb since I graduated last May but I just miss jt. I have visited a few times which helps but I just wish I could be out of my parents house like I used to be despite drama. There is drama everywhere, even in the workforce so really there is no getting away with it unfortunately. Anyone else feel that way when moving back home and wishing they were not with their parents?

College days were the best. they bring back memories and make me feel super nostalgic sometimes. I wish there was time machine and I could go back in time.
Thanks for this!

Ryan...I can so identify with what you're saying. I had some really bad drama as well, but the days of being on campus still bring back fond memories. I too had to return to my parents' home. Then trying to find a job, with a Fine Art degree, no less. The prospects were nonexistent. I managed to land a couple of good jobs, despite my lack of qualifications.
Are you employed at the present?

Nothing will ever compare to your college days. I'm age 65, and I've evolved in the work force as well as marriage and parenting. ( a lot of drama in that too!). Leaving the heady days of college, then going out on your own, even living with parents (as I had to do for a time), is very depressing. Probably the lowest time of my life. It's a real eye-opener, having to face the real world.

Let me ask, do you have any plans for an advanced degree, and the financial means to do so? My dad forbade me from pursuing this, saying, "I put you thru college, now you have to work." Later in life, I did and have pursued it, and it was very rewarding. If you can go on to study further, you will find graduate study very fulfilling and challenging, even if you have to live at home.

Yes I agree, I actually feel very depressed. I did have a job as a substitute paraprofessional but they no longer needed me so I am looking to go somewhere else. I also hope to go to grad school and live there while pursuing studies. Really it is not facing the real world that depresses me, technically I think you face the real world in college too in a way, it is moving back home that depresses me. Once I move out, I will be fine. I totally agree with what you said though.
