Eagerly awaiting the UK launch now. Decided just to wait rather using a workaround to get it early.

The first signs it might available soon are appearing as it has just launched in Germany.

I play! I was a little skeptical at first but actually it helps a little with my anxiety being out in public. And yes, it is free.

Well, it's free to an extent. You are able to purchase things like more pokeballs and lure modules and such via real world money. I'm currently out of pokeballs so I'm not really playing anymore.

I have an area in my town where there are several pokestops and walking is encouraged, with signs that literally tell of how many miles walked for each time around. We do that to collect pokeballs in bulk.

I noticed I am in the perfect city for the game. Where you have the map of the city up, the Pokestops light up like Christmas lights, LOL.

We have quite a bit of Pokestops that you can catch at car speed (the others are sooo annoying but I learned which are which... and yes I'm a passenger!). By foot in better weather there are really nice walks to get them. Out in my hoods we only have one Pokestop and two gyms but I am glad I'm not stuck out here.

But smaller towns might be just like that, maybe just one Pokestop. That would drive me crazy.

Since both stops and gyms are plentiful, it is quite easy to make coins and not having to purchase anything. I once had to toss red 100 balls too! That almost hurt, LOL. I still have two upgrades of my bag but I needed space for revives.

I hatched Igglybuff last night. And a Ponyta. I had 9 incubations going. Down to 6. Might walked to one pokestop with my son, tonight after his afterschool program and there are 2 more stops on the way home that I can pull over to. I'm one candy away from a Rikachu

Helped my son bring his pokeball inventory numbers over 60+ with 2 small treks around a hotbed of stops after picking him up from his afterschool program the past 2 days. I even managed to replenish, but not with his numbers. A bunch of eggs did hatch for me.
Nope, not an addicting family friendly game, whatsoever.

My brother in law still plays it. Does anyone else feel like when people first started playing Pokémon GO in 2016 that that was the last time everyone in the United States was truly happy and at peace?

No.....I didn't see happiness or peace then either.

Oh. Maybe it was just what I saw in my own area.

No, I'm a huge Pokemon fan, have been my whole life but I've never played the Go mobile game, I play all the other handheld Pokemon games though. I'm sure it's fun, it's just that my phone is somewhat old and not compatible with the game

I downloaded it for like two minutes and it was a huge pain in the butt. The Pokémon on the app were always so far away and looked that it could lead me to a shady area! I am like you BlueBird, I loved playing Pokémon on my Gameboy, and I am going to buy a new Pokémon game for my old Gameboy Advance as soon as I get some money together.
