Bayer medicine (aspirin), this company funded nazi experiments in concentration camps, particularly experiments on children.

When they were sued by couple of camp survivors (they were tortured as children, had diseases induced in them, organs removed etc), the ones that sued didn't ask for money, they only wanted public apology of owners on behalf of previous owners.

Bayers refused. I don't recall how law suit ended but I'll never touch their products

Any business that pushes their political agenda on you, no matter how they stand.

I can form my own opinion. Thank you.

Gamefly bought a website of a company that I used to have a game or two from called Direct2Drive, they promised me I'd be able to continue as if D2D was still around, meaning I'd always have access to the games I bought, one day I found I didn't have access to my games anymore. I asked them about it, they said some story about it was no longer available on their subscription service, so therefore I couldn't have access to it anymore. I told them of the email I received when Gamefly bought D2D, they claimed ignorance. They lost a customer. I haven't used Gamefly since. That was a very very long time ago.

Honestly, Netflix has gotten rid of my favorite shows, movies, anime, etc. At this point, I just use Amazon Prime. However, they have been promoting various agenda and attempted to cover up ratings when they were shot down.

If Comcast were not the only provider to my neighborhood, then I would gladly boycott them.

I refuse to use Comcast services. I use the wifi hotspot on a cell network.

I am not sure how anyone can boycott Exxon. Their products/services are weaved into everything across multiple industries and it would be impossible to avoid using them indirectly.

I boycotted a store after my friend was fired from it. I refuse to use Amazon. I will not feed Jeff Bezos ego and platform monopoly aspirations.

Not sure if this is a "boycott", but I refuse to eat veal because of the way the calves are raised. Don't eat fra gras (goose liver paste) for the same reason. When I took HRT I refused to use a particular drug because of the way they "harvested" the hormones.
Thanks for this!

Absolutely! I was a gamer for a long time, so you can bet your butt that I boycotted a few dodgy companies. xD

The entire meat industry. They are the biggest contributor to climate change. Hopefully I'll be able to boycott the dairy industry soon as well. Artificial insemination is completely abhorrent.

And I've always been boycotting the real leather, fur, and feather products.

I thought of your boycott as I came accross this in my twitter feed. I had never heard of them before this thread. Interesting.

Quote>>>Earlier today, the United States filed a civil complaint to forfeit thousands of cuneiform tablets and clay bullae. As alleged in the complaint, these ancient clay artifacts originated in the area of modern-day Iraq and were smuggled into the United States through the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel, contrary to federal law. Packages containing the artifacts were shipped to Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. (“Hobby Lobby”), a nationwide arts-and-crafts retailer based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and two of Hobby Lobby’s corporate affiliates. The shipping labels on these packages falsely described cuneiform tablets as tile “samples.”

The government also filed a stipulation of settlement with Hobby Lobby, in which Hobby Lobby consented to the forfeiture of the artifacts in the complaint, approximately 144 cylinder seals and an additional sum of $3 million, resolving the civil action. Hobby Lobby further agreed to adopt internal policies and procedures governing its importation and purchase of cultural property, provide appropriate training to its personnel, hire qualified outside customs counsel and customs brokers, and submit quarterly reports to the government on any cultural property acquisitions for the next eighteen months...<<<end quote

Thank you Healing.

Here's an excerpt from an NBC story. The bolding is mine to draw attention to the Hobby Lobby dishonesty.
Hobby Lobby Fined $3M, Agrees to Return Smuggled Iraqi Artifacts

Quote:
In 2009, the company decided to amass a collection of books and artifacts "consistent with the Company’s mission and passion for the Bible." Green and a consultant traveled to the United Arab Emirates to inspect cuneiform tablets that were thousands of years old, along with engraved seals and the clay impressions they made.
According to a civil complaint, an expert hired by Hobby Lobby had warned its in-house lawyer that there was a risk the items it wanted to buy had been looted and counseled them to make sure the country of origin was properly labeled on customs forms.
Have You Ever Boycotted a Business? Hobby Lobby paid $1.6 million for tablets and other artifacts. U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York
Instead, prosecutors said, the 5,500 artifacts were shipped without proper documentation, with labels that described them simply as "ceramic tiles" or "samples" from Turkey or Israel. The company didn't pay the dealer who supposedly owned the items, instead wiring $1.6 million in payment to the accounts of seven other individuals.

I found out the manager of a local food service business was caught making a racist and Islamaphobic tirade directed towards a young family. He is being held legally accountable. Still, I will never grace his restaurant with my presence again.

Several but none really officially. There are many establishments that over the years I have decided that I'm just not ever going back there.
