Which business was it? What was the final straw for you? Have you ever gone back?

I've boycotted Starbucks for political and personal reasons. Obviously, because of community guidelines I can't go further into my political reasons. Although I must add that the political choice was my final straw for never going back. Personally, I found the coffee low-quality for the outrageous price, the drinks all tasted strongly like sugar and all tasted the same (I would try all the new drinks and they all tasted like sugar, and I would have to ask my plain iced coffee to be half the "classic" sweetener, because the standard plain iced coffee tasted strongly like sugar), it was so busy and loud inside I felt like I couldn't breathe, and the wait in line at the drive through could easily stretch 20-30 minutes. Then, of course, were the A-holes who caused a scene for the Starbucks workers not getting their long list of additives in their coffees just the way they like, sometimes my hot coffee was lukewarm and my iced coffee was not cold, the people with their laptops would take over the store so there is nowhere to sit, and it made me mad when coworkers come late to work due to their Starbucks endeavors as if getting coffee was an acceptable excuse to be late.

I boycotted Starbucks in January and have never ordered a drink from them since. I tell my friends that if they want to meet up at coffee we can go to a local indie cafe. I've only stepped into a Starbucks three times since January, twice because of needing free internet in a hurry for work, and once because my friend insisted she had to have Starbucks even though she had coffee at her house and I ended up having my coffee at her house. But I know I will never buy coffee from them again and I am done with Starbucks forever.

I decided to boycott my old gym. My friends boyfriend owns it and I'm not particularly fond of him. He hurt my friend (emotionally, not physically) in the past. Even though she has forgiven him I still think she could do better and I have not forgiven him. But because of that and just personal opinion differences I've decided to boycott!

Long John Silver - got food poisoning there.

KFC - was served undercooked chicken!

Hobby Lobby because of their treatment of a trans employee.

I doubt my no doing business with any of these companies has any impact on them, but I feel better for doing it.

Chick filet and it had to do with political reasons so I won't elaborate. I've had more people than I care to mention try to lure me in there and if I tasted it, I might not be able to resist. I've never tried it and doubt I ever will.

Forgot about them, I'm moved to where there aren't any but they are on my list too.

I will never go back to an appliance store near me as they were all huddled in a corner not seeming to want to help me. (Bit like pretty woman - ).

Exxon/Mobil - because of the wreck of the Exxon Valdes (sp?). I was part of a team that put together and reprogrammed blood analyzers meant for humans to be used on the sea birds and mammals affected by the oil spill. It affected me deeply seeing how sick it made the animals.

Burger King - because I once got brown lettuce on a hamburger.

I don't really care about any given company's politics or policies. If you ask me, they're all crooked.

Hobby Lobby, Chic Fil A, Exxon, MillerCoors, Urban Outfitter's, Cracker Barrel, Wal-Mart, Abercrombie & Fitch to name a few. Why?

Racism, homophobia, employment discrimination, anti women, sexual and gender harassment, hypocritical, fat-shaming, sexualizing young women, manipulating female health care, and a few other reasons i can't remember right now.

Yes. Nestle thinks they can take every drop of water they find and bottle, leaving farmers with no way to grow their crops and Nabisco for moving the Oreo production to Mexico. I have an app on my phone that you can scan the bar code of a product and it will tell you if they do test on animals. We just had a university close by do a test on 6 beagle babies and once the finished, they killed them. That makes me so mad. I like animals more than humans anymore. Of the 5 Beagles I have now, 3 are rescues, one came from the pound and we purchased one so we knew he would be raised in a loving home. I just have to make sure my wife takes my phone, so she can use the app. I am stuck in the bed.....

I think because their CEO is homophobic and ultra conservative. Lots of people disagree with him politically and morally.

I've boycotted dating websites. They all take the piss, and you will almost certainly get nowhere wasting valuable time and cash. That's maybe not totally true for everyone, as there are people who find love somehow, and then put up a success story thereafter. However, I find most of them are full of idiots, inactive accounts, and weirdos. For all anybody knows, the so-called success stories may be fake like the majority of the profiles are.

I'm also tired of registering on a website that has a front page claiming it's free to join. You fill in all the mandatory info, looking to proceed to what you joined for in the first place, only then for the website to pop up a message asking you to upgrade from 'Silver' to 'Gold' in order to send messages, and gifts to people who probably won't touch you with a ten-foot pole because they're so picky. It's really soul destroying.

One dating site I know is rather gimmicky too. You can send a cute image of a teddy bear, a champagne bottle, a bunch of flowers, and all this nonsense. Some folk probably obsessively buy all the gifts there are, to show their devotion to an anonymous e-person by offering them a complete set. Please!

These websites are there not to help you find a partner, but to empty your wallet. I've never been stupid enough to spend more than a few hours on each of them before looking for a way to get my profile removed. Sadly, whatever 100% free to use dating sites there are online today, they are full of said creepy weirdos. You cannot win.
Thanks for this!

I boycotted Exxon since 1988. I graduated HS & watched the Valdez sink. Then I knew what I wanted to do in college.
I have not bought their gas since. Maybe twice in extreme emergencies.
