This is bad bad bad for my diet but it's helping me get through the lack of prescription medication that I ran out of (through my own damn fault).

I found these Oreo-style cookies that are freaking addictive. I'm going to have to stop buying them because it's too much for my blood sugar.

This reminds me of the following video: How to Use Drugs, which demonstrates a healthy view on the idea of what a drug is. You'll get it when you see the video.

Have you considered baking or cooking as a hobby? For many individuals, it is a tranquil activity, and it is always rewarding. If nothing else, it keeps them well-fed and active.

All in moderation Ttbc...the natural feelgood chemicals released when we eat comfort foods is likely what's keeping your spirits up. A short term solution at best but I can't think of a more pleasureable one! Here's to you soon gettin' yr regular meds back in order!

I've rarely seen a counselor that was more therapeutic than a chocolate sundae.

Confectionery may just make you feel worse in the long run. All the sugar will spike your insulin levels, and lead to headaches, depression, and elevated moodiness. Try drinking vegetable juices as they are high in magnesium, and a lack of that mineral can make you feel really bad.

Fruit is full of sugar too, yet boiled sweets seem to fulfill our sweet cravings. Refined sugar is bad for you. And this type of sugar is hidden away in lots of commercially packaged food items.

Who cares if something is bad for you? As long as it makes people happy and it's not hurting anybody else around them, who gives a damn?

I never could understand why people will deprive themselves of things that make them happy all to add a measly few years onto their overall life expectancy.
Thanks for this!

The funny thing is that I'm about to do the same thing and I'm dead serious.
I'm going to order edibles from California in the form of candy.
I don't know if it'll help, but I'm hoping.

I am vegan so people ask me all the time why I would rather eat vegan than eat food that I like
I say "I would rather my years on earth be spent not sick and not slowly dying"
Although I dont mind vegan sweets every now and then
