For me it's the beatles.. nothing like the beatles to lift you out of a funk and make you bop your head.

There's a band called King's X that's not as well known as they should be. They actually began as a Christian/Rock band, and then slid into the hard rock area shortly thereafter. Amazingly enough, they have a very beatlesque (new word there) sound in many of their songs. Allot of harmony throughout and a few songs are obviously modeled after the Beatles. Maybe the Beatles sound is a natural mood elevator?

I like classic hard rock...and this is interesting because I never listened to it while it was contemporarily popular.
I'll check out Kings X! Patty |

Crisis, thanks for sharing King's X. I found them on YouTube:
and listened to a couple of their songs. They are good. A year or two ago I downloaded about 100 songs over the course of a couple months and now I often listen to them when I'm here but if I only had to choose one I guess I'd choose something genuinely Henry Mancini:

What was interesting about the video to "Believe" is that I know the club it was shot in, and have been there a few times myself. Music is really something I thrive on, and appreciate most every genre, so thankyou for the recco of Mancini as well. Soothing is a good desription I think. |

I guess I'm strange but when I'm in a bad (not sad, just grouchy) mood, uplifting and vibey music tends to induce a very agitated state. I prefer total silence until my mood has passed.
Otherwise, Fall Out Boys and Gwen Stefani (totally different, I know), get my feet tapping.

I'm REALLY eclectic when it comes to music, so i listen to really wide range of stuff. Love the medieaval baebes. The Legendary Shack Shakers when I want something really wild, but for plain old feel good - it has to be Great Big Sea.

most music really, I like funky stuff with a beat and rock and soul, euphoric trance, I listen to sad stuff when I'm sad which is probably not a good idea, but it gets the tears out lol

For me it is Josh Groban or Enya, or country music, or 70's folk...yeah, an odd variety. But they all work.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, it use to be Laura Branigan before she died, now it's mainly my dearly beloved oldies from the 60's. I do have one big heartbeat that sets my heart aglow........and that's Amy Grant. Her Heart in Motion is one of the best albums she's ever done!!! All of the songs on that one I like, especially " I Will Remember You". It reminds me of my younger brother and how we used to laugh and sing and play and really related to each other. We were the youngest. She's a source of inspiration to me. A lot of flack has been going around about her since she divorced Gary, her first husband, but I say " live and let live". She fell out of love and I doubt if he's that lilly white himself???? I always thought that he was having an affair with his co-host while he had that C/W show for awhile. I think maybe Amy found out and couldn't accept that from him. I don't know? I just feel like there was a connection between those two that shouldn't have been. Now she's happily married to Vince Gill. Jeeez Louise.......let sleeping dogs lie!!! Lot's of people are divorced, that doesn't mean we're all doomed for hell. I don't believe that way myself. I don't care anyway. As long as she's happy and living a good life. That's all that really counts. Life's too short to live in misery, I say. |

I like some Celtic music, the flute, violin, and other instuments used are so peaceful. My favorite songs are called "Celtic Seasons of Worship", i have volumes 2-4.
Another singer of celtic music is "The Best of Sheila Walsh", these can be found through Christian bookstores. Another Christian group I like is "Women of Faith", with their album "Boundless Love" and "Joy, Grace, Love & Peace". Otherwise I like Country, "John Anderson", and I like "Cher".

All my life I have know that I am different. I have trouble with my thinking and processing information. I have trouble in keeping close friends. I am afraid of living, and I don't really know why. I am good at pretending everything is all right, by just gritting my teeth and just charging ahead and getting through the rough spots, but inside I am afraid of failure and getting critized for things I do. I am hoping someone can help me, or at least understand me. |
