Yeah,
When I was little I loved the ice cream man in the neighborhood I grew up in.
However when I was a little girl I wanted to be a police officer. My inspiration was the show Adam 12 which I still love to this day (I've been ordering the dvds) my Father wasn't around much & when he was he offered little protection from my abusive stepMom. Adam 12 offered me escape as well as it was an example of how men should act. Most of the males I remembered were less than manly they did drugs basically were immature didn't want to grow up. And that continued on even after I was reunited with my Mother & she met her boyfriend whom she would later marry. I'm hoping to move to another city .
I'm not eligible to be police so I may go into the paramedic program.

My parents are in law enforcement. They can't wait to get out. The politics behind it are awful. It's just a horrible field to go into these days.

Paramedics would be decent. I heard something similar to that the paramedics get a lot of grief from police and the nurses regarding decision making, but I can't remember what. Seeing people bloody and sick would be very tough, but it's fairly easy to get into and they are always in demand.

Talking about this made me think. There was a time I wanted to be a marine biologist but that was in high school. And I also loved pirates in high school.

In college, I almost got a degree in primatology or anthropology. Instead I went with psychology.

Pirates are cool and all, but I was born a vampire, and contrary to popular belief I only sparkle when I'm in San Francisco.

Dr. Jane Goodall began her career in the field long before she pursued a "proper" education. There's always time.

So much. I'll start from the very beginning. As a small child I wanted to be a chef so I could wear an apron, a cool hat, and make cheerios with a big wooden spoon. Also an astronaut.

As I got older, I wanted to be a zookeeper, meteorologist, and astronomer. Older still, in my teens, actress.

Now I'm 34, and while none of these things have happened, I'm not sad. I know who I am and what I want. Its pretty cool.

A auto Mechanic. Did it for a few years, then had the chance to make parts that went into cars and trucks and did that for the rest of my working days. Pretty good chance, if you drive a Ford, Chevy, Buick, Honda, etc, I made the rear window in your vehicle.

You just haven't been bitten by a radioactive spider yet. I hope you don't have an uncle named Ben....I think you'd be very distraught.

I wanted to be the Hulk and later a car designer because I loved coming up with conceptual drawings of futuristic-looking cars then sometime later an inventor because I love coming up with things to help solve problems and to help those in need. At one time I wanted to be a comedian but, that was destroyed when I seen a guy on TV, getting payed to act like me. Now I just want to study robotics and AI and build self-aware androids and gynoids. It's a dream that I have.

I have tried not to rack my brains or beat myself up over this simple question too bad. Yet it seems it's the simple ones that always get me. I find myself without an answer and once again questioning my childhood, my upbringing, my state of mind as a child. Why didn't I care about becoming ANYTHING? Ever...at 45 I still struggle too maintain on a single path for very long... transient is my life.

cadaver -- didn't take.

In all honesty, Besides a Jedi and Spiderman as I listed below, I wanted to be a famous musician (I'm not famous, but I do play a pretty mean guitar and have written some interesting and trippy songs) and work with computers in some form. I'm a Software Engineer by profession these days.

Keep dreaming. It's not too late! The Rolling Stones are like 150 years old.
Lou Reed was famous, and he only knew like 3 chords.

I wanted to be a forest ranger. I loved the woods. I later found out the field was saturated and my parents spent my college money, so it didn't matter anyway.
