Welcome everyone to this Christmas Party Thread.

This is one of those little "party" threads for everyone to gather round and have a little online company on Christmas day.

I'm sure people will be browsing the various forums as usual. However, if anyone is feeling low and needs to talk about stuff seriously, by all means give a shout-out here to draw people's attention to the relevant forum and thread. It might draw a few more people over.

I'm starting it early because of time zones and Christmas Eve, so here we go.

I feel like Christmas skipped me this year. I haven't been in the holiday spirit. I have no money to give gifts. I don't decorate my house because I always go to my mom's and I couldn't even do that this year. So I'm sitting at home watching Christmas movies and it feels so weird because it feels to me like it's still August...why are they playing Christmas movies?

And in a day, it will all be over...and I will have missed all the fun and celebrations...It's making me sad.

Yeah, it's not much of an event for me either.

I won't be watching any Christmas movies.
It's just one day. Planned fun is rarely that much fun anyways.

I hope you find something enjoyable or comforting in the day. This year, I'm doing this.

Thanks. Very nice. I love how people can easily do their own duets these days.

Reminds me of this (not Christmas related) combination of two rather unremarkable tunes into something much better.

I really like the jaunty and pleasant result. Maybe it's just me and I'm easily amused.

We're having people over tomorrow. But tonight is just mum and me. Peaceful, turned the lights on and watching the Dr Who marathon on BBC America and eating cookies. Mum though is wearing herself out preparing for the few hours of relatives coming tomorrow. She doesn't need to but can't help herself. After a lifetime of perfection she can't let go. She'll be 90 in two months and has to bein control. Everybody is supposed to be bring food, were only to be ment to cook the turkey and ham.....but kids they're too selfish to bring main dishes. So tomorrow I'm making dressing and bean casserole to fill up the table. Kids can't be bothered to bring more than rolls or pickles. Told mum that next year someone else has to host it. But that's tomorrow, tonight I'll enjoy the peace and quite
