The improper use of "OK"/"ok"/"okay"/"OKAY!"

When people use "OK" it weirds me out the most because it's all caps so it sounds like shouting and it's abbreviated and I don't like the fact that a four letter word is abbreviated when that's not even necessary....
Thanks for this!

a friend of mine who loves the avengers.

I asked her:

if you were an avenger, what would your power be and what would your avenger name be

apparently her power is sticking to tables and walls (because she is so sweaty), and her avenger name?

" super sticky woman"
just....

no.

sounds so wrong

Same here. Sometimes I think people do that without realizing it, but it makes me feel paranoid or, for some reason, embarrassed. Maybe because I'm typically self-conscious.

I’m currently werided out by Roseanne’s latest rant. She seemed so angry. It was kind of scary.

I’ll have to check that out.

I remember reasoned discourse rather than angry hate-filled rants. I’m not certain when it began?

Roseanne was a socialist at one time; now she seems to be a desperate sociopath.

I am really wierded out by the term, " woofing"

I know that's what dogs do, but I can't help feeling that it sounds a little bit messed up

I prefer the term barking

Did you see the wonderful film, The Big Sick?

The female lead utters words that I’ve only heard in high school locker rooms and from genuine potty-mouthed folk and it’s hilarious.

How proud people are about their phone numbers. I work in retail and we have to ask for phone numbers to get their discounts, and they'll start off all quiet and sulky through the whole transaction, but the minute I ask for a phone number they perk up straight and the way they say it....as if that was the only thing that mattered in the transaction, their tone is almost boasting as they read off their phone number...and then they go back to being rude and sulky.
Thanks for this!

So funny. Too many people see their stupid cell phones as the representation of their identity. That's what weirds me out.....sitting in a cafe, looking around, and every person sitting in the place has there face down, looking at a cell phone. Freakish.

I just completed binge-watching the Sowtime series “Dexter.”

It was interesting but had so many things that I disliked that I puckered up at times.

One thing was that the show seemed to be constructed around cell phones. Constant use of cell phones.

Possible trigger:

And there were Angel’s shirts — you’d need to make millions per annum to afford a new shirt or two per day; and how do you afford beach front properties in Miami on a cop’s/technician’s salary? BMW’s? There were a dozen goofs per episode.
