lively comercials that are for really depressing topics

I just saw one that's meant to be to encourage people to help with giving clean water to people in the world, but the guy doing it was so happy and lively about it it was as if he wasn't really sure that they needed help in the first place.

the way he said it was like... oh well, these people have dirty water and could die, but hey, I don't, and I'm fine

(and it included some rather happy animations)

I just think..... wow.

when they get 6 people on a team in a pannel show, but only 5 of them actually take part

their's always one.. they'll get a team of good comedians or good celebrities, and you're thinking this is going to be good, and then one person always just sits their in the studio in silence probably thinking.. why on earth am I here

this is made worse when the existing pannel don't live up to expectations (like you know they have a lot more to give, but they don't)
Thanks for this!

when a tv network advertises a show or series as "new"

no. it's new to that network.

their's one going around at the moment "brand new charm starting tuesday"

it's not brand new

it's actually the first series but because it's never been shown on this network before, it's new
Thanks for this!

It is -42C with the windchill (folks that is -40F) and people wearing nothing but a fleece or hoody exclaim how effing cold it is. I have no sympathy. It bothers me too that people will not dress their young children (including infants) appropriately for such cold and fail to cover their heads and hands. That is neglect.

Irked may not be the right word. But I went into work today only to be met at the door and told I had been taken off the schedule. I was of course very confused, but left anyways. I checked my messages and of course there was one from yesterday when I had been out.

If I am irked it is at myself for not checking the messages last night. But then again I do have a day off now. So it’s not that bad. Plus they were super nice about my mistake.

When people post about how 2019 is going to be their best year ever, and then 20 minutes later start *****ing and moaning about how life isn’t fair and how 2019 is off to a crappy start. It’s like they are totally oblivious to the fact that they do actually have to put in an effort and try. Nothing is just going to be handed to them.

When you go to the grocery store and there is no express lane... so you get in the regular lane with your two things... someone comes in behind you with 100+ items and then, and only then, does someone come open the express lane, but makes no attempt to take your two things cause your in the other lane.

Hmmmm, when you only have one or two items, don't people invite you to advance the line ahead of them there? Seems rather rude to me.

people who keep promising you things and then at the last moment let you down

they apologize for it, don't give any excuse why it didn't happen, say they'll do it tomorrow... come next day the same thing happens.

after 2/ 3 weeks of the same circle and the same " I'll do it tomorrow", it gets old

For the second night in a row, I heard a dog left out. It is very tiny and it reached lows of -45C/-45F over night.

I walk my dog between 4:30 - 5:00am each morning (yeah, it is another thing that irks me) and I heard it whining and barking the entire duration of our time as we went up and down the block. Not a light in the house to be seen. So it is not a case of the owner merely letting it out to go pee. That dog was left out to fend for itself. I am going to report this once the animal control office opens this morning. This really bothers me.

It irks me when I've put something away hundreds of times, and yet the next time I see it, it's either left out again, or put back in the wrong place.

What irks “me” is people who won’t admit they have a problem.

The store was still playing Christmas music today. Not just winter songs, but actual Christmas songs. I wonder why.

Hi Cheryl. Are these on the local stations? i wonder if there is a large Ukrainian community there. They celebrate Christmas on Jan 7th. We get a lot of commercials too and I have always figured it was on account of the Ukrainian and Eastern Orthodox communities. I could be wrong though of course.

It irks me when I see toddlers playing with cell phones and tablets. It seems to be an excuse for their parents not spending any time or attention with them.

It irks me that my neighbour does not leash her dog when she takes it out front to do its business. The dog has no recall and runs all over while she screams and screams his name to come back to her. It is unfair to my own dog and those in the neighbourhood.

To the East of Edmonton there is a Ukrainian town but nothing really gets noticed. The stations are like global and CBC, they are national. I see at our grocery store, and pharmacy they have already got the Christmas decorations down.

It irks me when people don't capitalize the "I" when speaking of themselves.
