Then there's "nuke-you-lar" instead of "nuclear."

"lit" "fam" "on fleek"
I typically don't understand idioms, and I avoid using them. |

"Millenials"
I hate it when I see "Millenials do this..." or "Millenials like that....". It's like we're some sort of alien invade the earth and our actions are weird and dumb. Come on, every generation will always be different. I believe you or someone else did some dumb stuff in your time. Besides, you're the ones who raised the "Millenials". |

Hey! I use "but" and "however" a lot. What's wrong with those? I admit, it is a bad habit...

"Are you drunk?"
So, some context for this one. I like to be funny and act silly. I like making people laugh. But I hate it when I act something out that happened or tell a joke and someone says that. It just lets me know that this person has no sense of humor and we wouldn't get along. |

You know better! My ex friend used to say this to me all the time when i was struggiling with anxiety or depression. Still 11 years later i still hear it loud and clear in my head. It's very hard for me to stay in therapy

My first post here in GSC. I don't mind the phrase itself, "no big deal", but I don't like when it is used incorrectly. Ignoring an issue doesn't make it go away, escalating often makes it worse, however recognizing a problem for what it is can often lead to a reasonable solution. "no big deal", rather "Let it be"

Endless "and"s bother me. "But" and "however" I can live with.

I introduced my friend to my aunt who is a head of her scientific field and quite full of herself and my friend called her a nerd to her face. It did not go over well.

And when did it become “on” your period. It’s “having” your period. I’ve even seen “on my period” in a tv commercial recently.

This thread’s hilarious!
I’m irked by people using “I” wrong. “His and I’s relationship”

Subjective words like ALWAYS, NEVER, ONLY, MOST Etc. Words that are of personal perception and projected onto other people. They are v annoying and irritating when used to describe objective information.

When people state to “use your common sense” this is a learned behaviour so maybe it’s not common to everyone the same way.

Funny. When I was a teenager, I heard other teenagers call it being "on" your period, while mothers usually said "in" your period. It could be generational, or it could be geographical, kind of like how some people wait "in" line, and others wait "on" line.

“In” your period. That’s the grossest yet! Did they fall into it? Are they sitting on it? Ha!
