I just spent 5 hours assembling an exercise bike, and the instructions were hard to follow! I think I made some mistakes, or they sent the wrong parts! I paid $600 for this thing! I hope it works, but I think the left pedal is going to fall off!
Does anyone identify!

Patty???? Are you ok hon???? Sure hope the bike didn't fall apart when you used it....let us know ok???

How I can relate to those dang written instructions that make absolutely no sense whatsoever. And the little pictures don't give a good representative of what you are looking at unless you are the original designer Ex bike assembly instructions...Ugh!

Thanks, all of you, dear friends, for the validation of how hard it is to follow assembly instructions! I've contacted the company, Schwinnfitness.com, about the right foot pedal, and I will probably have to buy another one along with the leg to which it attaches. I went out this morning and bought three wrenches to tighten all the fittings, as no tools were included for assembly, and, last night, I had to borrow one wrench from a neighbor! This totally wore me out, and I took off work today!
It is working fine, despite the incorrect attachment of the left foot pedal, which needs replacing, as the threads are obviously wrong, but I forced it in there and it's staying on.
I could have bought a fully assembled one for $100 more at a local store. Maybe I should have done that!

this made me laugh. I thought when I read "ex bike assembly instructions" your thread was going to be about how you had killed it................ as in -ex bike, that it was no longer with us!

LOL, Allthegirls...NO, but it about KILLED ME! putting it together! Ex bike assembly instructions...Ugh!
I've pedaled on it a few times today for short spurts, and it does the upper body also with the arm handles which move. I can see that this was a good investment, as I am already feeling relief from the tension pain in my neck and shoulders. By the end of my teaching day with the wild bunch, my neck is tightened up like a corkscrew! So this is one piece of equipment I will use, unlike the rest of the stuff just gathering dust in my garage!
