Has anyone "given up" and tried liking whatever you're doing? If you're on PC, 23 hours a day like I am :-) just enjoying it? I sometimes feel like I'm putting off stuff by doing other stuff but I always get all my stuff done! So, why feel guilty or like one is avoiding instead of feeling like it's enjoyable to be doing what you're doing and just enjoy it! Clear as mud?

Have you the audacity to doubt my veracity or even to insinuate that I would contemplate such an insignificant subject as that?

Hmmm.... interesting! I'm just trying to like being me but it's easier said than done.

But yes, in terms of spending hours here - I no longer feel guilty when I do - especially if my work is actually done. It's my selfish pleasure!

I gave up doing what I don't like and have someone else do it. Now I find that I like doing what I didn't like and like doing what I do do. Liking what you're doing ... Liking what you're doing

As my T once pointed out to me; "I don't think anyone likes to clean toilets?"

I'm just tired of feeling like an avoider. I feel like I long for cake when I'm eating ice cream?

Perna...I like watching movies, all kinds...blockbusters, foreign, documentaries, and even "no brainers!" So, what I"ve been doing lately, since some would consider this a "waste of time," is watch a segment, then get up and load the dishwasher, or make the bed, or switch the laundry (takng all of 5 minutes), and then back for another segment of movie. NOW, I've also added an exercise bike in front of the TV, and do that for a few minutes also, then rewarding myself with more cinema!

I only do do at night when it's "safe" and no one will "comment" Liking what you're doing

Two things you like to do, the one you "want" to do even more rewarding in the end than the other but you have "decided" you want to do one of them. That sets up an immediate "ain't gonna do it" just because it's been chosen. But, it is something I enjoy. However, since it's now "regulated" I go do the other unregulated, temporarily "bad" activity. It's silly.

hmm I am confused over the original question...

what i don't like to do i put off to do "later".. then when i get in the mood i do it. heck.. i don't even enjoy doing what i like to do. Liking what you're doing which means i don't do a much other than chasing puppy because he wants everything he can't have..

The original confusing question was why "regret" and feel like we're doing the "wrong" thing. Why not just do what we're doing with our whole heart and enjoy it :-)
