As some of you know, I have the tradition to start these threads at the end of the year This one has been a bit weird (as the previous ones, lol), but I still have several things to be grateful for.
For example, for all the moments I spent with my parents and with my friends.
After two years of pause due to Covid, this year we finally had the traditional festival in my town again, I really missed it and it has been lovely.
I still found a job at school, that is what I wanted. It's still temporary, but at least for this school year I'm happy to have it. And I have a colleague I get along well with.
I could take some interesting courses and learn new things that can be useful for my work.
I started learning a new language.
This summer I had the opportunity to volunteer with children coming to my country and it has been a beautiful experience.
And I'm glad for my garden, that is something I have always had, but only in the last years I have really started enjoying it.

And you, what are you grateful for this year?

I’m very grateful that covid for both of us was just a bad cold.

For me, it always comes back around to the basics.

-Someone kind that I can talk to about almost anything, and enjoy a laugh with, most of the time.

-A roof over my head and enough money to buy lots of food, if I want to.

-We now have a second car on the road this Christmas, and it's a honey. It's given me a great measure of freedom back again.

-More reasonable gas prices, to go along with that last one.

-Our health is good; and now, going into old age, I have a dermatologist I like very much.

-Our cozy, warm home, and pleasant neighbours on either side.

-Wonderful friends and acquaintances who are some of the kindest and bravest people I've ever met.

-And, finally, enough smarts to never get taken-in, ever again.

I am the most grateful that my grandson was born this year, that he’s very well and healthy. I am grateful for modern medicine as my daughter had a complicated labor resulting in emergency c section. It possibly wouldn’t end that way just 100 years ago

I am grateful for modern medicine/vaccinations opportunities once again as even though I had covid and was quite sick, I wasn’t as sick as I could’ve been without vaccination

I am grateful for us both having jobs and living in a nice home.

It's been a very tough year. Yet, there is always something to be grateful for. I just got over an illness that had me feeling the most awful I've felt in a long time.
I'm grateful for 2 doctors that have been there for me.

I'm grateful to have lost more weight which helps me get around better on my feet

I'm grateful for kindness from friends, I have only 2 that keep in touch.
I'm grateful I didn't have to sleep in my car much this winter (it's been abnormally cold and stormy)
I'm grateful I still have my faith even though I questioned all year, why this why that.
I'm grateful I just realized my list could be even longer :-)

I had another bad year: hospitalized 3 times and had ECT. I am very grateful that 2 of the hospitalizations was in a good hospital and they treated me very well. The other hospital was horrible. I am glad I bought a new guitar this year and this new medication (Saphris) has seemed to help me and I can finally relax.

I'm grateful I got into affordable housing this year.
I'm grateful for my for my friends who have stuck by me through everything.
I'm grateful I have a job I like and that I'm good at.
I'm grateful that I have wonderful Dr's who provide excellent care.
I'm grateful Canada has public healthcare as there's no way I'd be able to afford the medical care I've received if I had to pay out of pocket for it.

My niece was born
My thyroid biopsy was normal.
I survived covid.
I didn't have a heart attack or stroke from my extremlely high blood level which I was able to get under control by having a few procedures
And I got my major anxiety and agoraphobia under control by starting a new med that works great and is weight netrual so I am able to keep my weight at a normal level

I am greatful for a friend that calls most every night.
I am greatful for my health.
I scooped up an artifical xmas tree for $50 from a neighbor that I adore.
I got a lot of stuff done around my house.

But overall 2022 wasn't wonderful and I am hoping that 2023 will be better.

I started going to school full time.

I saw quite a few therapist's who weren't right for me, but I recognized it and went without therapy for a few months. It went pretty well. I just started seeing a T who I like and feel comfortable with.

I got to spend time with my cousins over Christmas.

I traveled a lot with my love. We saw dinosaur bones in museums, the Hunter's moon over the ocean, sea lions, and lots of plants.

I started going back to my meditation group and have gotten more involved in my community.

2022 has been a difficult year for my family and I but I am still grateful for my family and my two new pups that my cousin gave me. I am also grateful for being able to see Morrissey in concert with my little sis and my niece.

I'm grateful for
-rescuing two kittens, and that my two 19 year olds are still in relatively good health
-finding a med that works for my psychosis
-going to a concert
-staying fairly healthy
-getting clean
-starting ACT
-getting away from my dad
-recovering from a broken hip without any lasting pain
-no suicide attempts
-I had the opportunity to go back to an IOP I went to previously and check-in and tell people that life sucks, but you can do things to make it better.

I had a very tough 2022 and am really looking forward to a better 2023.

Things I am grateful for that happened in 2022:

I am grateful that I got to say goodbye to my father before he died
I am grateful that I am still employed, despite having had to take a full month off from work due to mental health reasons
I am grateful that I was strong enough to leave my abusive husband for good
I am grateful for all the support I've received in leaving my husband, on here and IRL
I am grateful for the friends and family I have left
I am grateful that today, I am stronger and more resilient than ever
