I've had 2 days of classes and so far I'm really happy with how it's started. I like my profs, they're all really passionate about their subject and engaging. My classmates seem really nice and willing to participate in class discussions which makes things more interesting.

I was pleasantly surprised by the on-line classes. I was worried they might be really dull and would just be 3 hours of staring at a screen with someone lecturing and it wasn't like that at all. There was a good level of interactivity and class discussion.

I think my biggest challenges are going to be dealing with the technology, and managing the workflow. Everything is online and assignments have to be submitted electronically and some of my classes use tech as part of the assignments. For example in one class one ot the assignments is to create a vlog. it's very different from my last school experience. I also think the workload is going to be challenging, instead of exams my classes seem to have lots of shorter assignments which I'll just have to stay on top of.

I'm definitely the oldest person in the program, but I did meet some other mature students so I don't feel totally out of place.

Overall I think it's going to be really interesting.

That sounds very encouraging @splitimage - what kind of subject matter is it?

Thanks for asking @CANDC I'm studying social services which is basically applied social work. But I'm doing a 2 year diploma instead of a 4 year bachelors. The classes are all super interesting but very different from my last studies which were in accounting and finance.
